I have my carpets cleaned once in the Spring and once in the Fall by professionals. What can one do to clean carpets between those times, mainly the traffic areas? Does that Resolve product really work? I don't have a large area in each of my 4 carpeted rooms upstairs. It is the traffic areas that I would like to treat every few weeks as needed. Does anyone else have an idea other than renting a machine and doing it myself, which I am unable to do. I also have a carpeted stairway. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. I have 7 acres of wetlands in my yard and would like to cut the little junk trees down to bring in air and sun in the summer. The trees are all about 15-30 feet tall.

My questions are:

1) Can you cut trees down in the winter if its freezing out?\

2) What is the best and safest way to cut down a tree myself?

3) How long do you think it will take the land to dry before planting other plants and trees?

What Bible would these KJV worshippers recommend since before 1611 there was no Bible.
Do they realize that the apostle Paul did not use the KJV. Why do KJV only advocates reject the apocrypha, since the original 1611 version contained the apocrypha?

Just "who" intended this and "how" did they intend this. If you say God is the "who" and he/she/magician intended it, HOW did he do so. By continually making gay people and making them fall in love.

I think people follow this philosophy of the intention of men and women are supposed to be together, and don't even know from whence or where the philosophy comes from (other than parroting Bible Verses which mean nothing). The Bible does not govern the land UNLESS you are a follower and believer of it. If you are supposed to be with the opposite sex, then great for you, otherwise, it was INTENDED for me to be with a female...

I wasnt claiming that they do brainwash children as they claim Christians do. I simply asked why were they so bad at it. Was it that someone might infer that I was implying that Christians brainwash children? I could see where that might make someone mad.

Just curious as to why this question would get deleted. It always irks me that they never really give you an explanation when a question is deleted.

my understanding is anything that people might get offended like.. racist, sexist comments..

or what is YOUR understanding of offensive language?
and the target is censoring it from everyone in general, just to be fair (i'm not for or against it atm, still chewing on it..)

i think it's to do with ethics.. but then by censoring language that could be offensive could potentially be more offensive to the person that was going to be offended? if that makes any sense?

i dunno.. this could be a discussion type thing? but then we're going to need evidence to back it up rather than just drawing out of thin air.

also, not completely unrelating but following on the politically correct thread, when they tried banning christmas coz it could offend other religions, the "other religions" got offended coz they didn't take offense from christmas.
then they tried to change "baa baa black sheep" to "baa baa happy sheep", i think people woul get even more offended that they even thought of the link!!

For many of us who are regulars on YA, we are in a constant battle with people who do not properly train there dog and others who fail to seek out vet care when it is needed most.

With this issue in mind, would you be supportive of an organization that offers a discount (or free) vet care in exchange for your dog earning a Canine Good Citizen title? Do you think this will lower the number of dogs in shelters? How many people do you believe would actually take the time to work for this?

*The company offers a CGC class and tests your dog before offering you a "vet" certificate to be sure that your dog IS trained.

My friend works online as a doc finishing thesis.She came in contact with old family friend(son),best friend from years & in love.Shes got no choice but to finish work.

This mans mid 30s single busy works as doc powerful rich his folks abadoned so lived with his friends went abroad later.He loves her very much but cant express show feelings emotions due to his past.He gets angry & calls names as hes so in love with her hes angry upset with himself thinks everything will turn out like his past.Its holidays hes alone.She invited him over for xmas he said she could wait for him he wouldnt come she said shell wait.Hes there when she was in hospital & shes there for him.He loves her very much its cursing tearing hurting him inside but due to his past cant express show his feelings.She tries to reach out heal old wounds he'll reciprocate.Hes a good man with past who loves her.They might meet for xmas.

Good day to all science inclined people!

In Cebu City, Philippines, the MATH MAJOR'S CIRCLE made a contest named Science Olympiad wherein it gathers students from the province and city of Cebu.

I participated this contest just 8 hrs ago with two members in my team in University of San Carlos - North Campus. We placed 4th among sixteen schools in Cebu.

For me, as a SENIOR high school student, I'm very happy because my golly...other schools like Science High and etc. are hard to beat especially the fields tackled are GENERAL SCIENCE, BIOLOGY, CHEMISTRY, PHYSICS, GEOLOGY and ASTRONOMY.

What do you think?
