FYI. I received that and the following retort in an e-mail.

I've read what you wrote,
and do find it true.
To the the Politically correct,
Shame on YOU!!

You dismantle my rights,
and have the nerve to say.
It's no longer Christmas!
You must say holiday.

I'll stand on my roof!
On a moutain top high.
I'll shout "A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!"
As you pass by.

Love it or hate it
But don't give me no sass.
Take your politcal correctness,
and stick in your brass.

Well, it was taken from the Pagans in Rome in an effort by the Church to spread the word of the cult, then it had a long run helping Christians spread Christianity, and then it finally became a commercial tool for Capitalist nations to make wealth which is a much better use of the Holiday since Jesus was never born in December anyway.

It was the day after thanks giving, time for Christians to gloat,
Time for me to have Jesus jammed down my throat.
I respect their religion, let them praise and believe,
I pray to the gods just give me some relief.
I love this season, this magical time of year
But one group monopolizing is too much to bear.
This time of year is not about one faith,
When will they realize it precedes their days?
Peace and love to all, they shout from their pews,
Just as long as you do it by their rules.
Happy Holidays is meant to honor all,
Not to make Christians think they’re dropping the ball.
Enjoy the wonders of a world becoming one,
Isn’t that what was preached by Gods only son.
Diversity is not about disrespecting you,
Especially if you follow a tradition which includes Yule.

Christmas was never this idyllic celebration you envision it to be. For a long time, it was an illegal celebration in the English-speaking world because of all the sexuality and drunkenness associated with it. The holiday is an amalgam of pagan traditions and commercialism and it always has been. Get used to it already.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

You would LOVE this song I heard on the radio last night, I think it was called "Christmas with an attitude," and says just what you say here -- that Christmas is a part of our national heritage, and if the pc crowd doesn't like it, well, WE live here too.

I'll see if I can find the name/artist and post it here for you later.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! JESUS is the reason for this CHRIST-mas season.
