I ran about 2 miles on the treadmill yesterday. My shoes are only a few weeks old. Today I noticed that my lower back (the right side in particular) is sore! Very strange. I do weight training, so it's not like it's a muscle I never use or something. Could this be due to the run, or maybe I did something funny to it somehow?

Im currently not working, although I'm looking for a job (but the jobs around here are extremely scarce, so its proving difficult). Anyway I was thinking about volunteering at the local animal shelter so I have something to do while I'm not working. I want to continue to volunteer even after I find a job, but I'm wondering if thats a bad idea. Do you think it'd be irresponsible of me to do volunteer work when I dont even have a job? Should I wait until I get a job, or start volunteering now? Any opinion welcome.

Next Monday, 03-Dec, the Hall Of Fame will announce the results of the upcoming Veterans Committee Managers & Umpires ballot. This is one of the first two ballots under the newly revised VC, which the Hall announced in July following the third straight shutout by the old VC in February. This ballot is limited to ten candidates, as follows:

Billy Martin
Gene Mauch
Danny Murtaugh
Billy Southworth
Dick Williams

Umpires
Doug Harvey
Hank O'Day
Cy Rigler

Like the real voters, limit yourself to no more than four Yes votes. So, who here in your opinion merits election to the Hall?

Special caveat: anyone voicing support of Billy Martin MUST explain their reasoning. A simple "he managed the Yankees to a championship" isn't nearly good enough. (I'd prefer explanations for any candidate, but for Martin I must insist on some real evaluative thinking.)

I don't have a heater and I own a two story. I blocked of the upstairs so the heat won't raise. I have a fire place and I have to oil burning heaters in the big house. It is getting much colder and winter just started. I don't have extra money and I don't have handy family members. Can someone please tell me how to keep the house warm.

I am pregnant and I have this consistent bad taste in my mouth.It's so bad that it is almost preoccupying.I constantly feel like spitting or to swallow the saliva,but it doesn't help.
I had same problem in my 1st pregnancy too and it gave me a hard time.
Anyone else with similar symptoms or it's all in my head?

My older sister is engaged! I'm so happy for her & he is a great guy. We are diff as night & day tho. She didn't want to have bridesmaids, which was fine by me. Well now she changed her mind & has asked a friend to be her MOH. That didn't bother me--but now she has asked my cousin's child to be a flower girl (who we only see at Christmas) & another cousin to do the guest book. I am very upset at this. I told my mom that asking cousins & cousins once removed to be in the wedding instead of your only sister is an extreme slight & I am very hurt.

I was married about 2 years ago & my sister was my bridesmaid--but due to her nature, I didn't have her as my MOH. On average she is 3 hours later to every big event & has missed graduations, Christmases, and most birthdays. She turned it around & was actually a great help to me. Since then she's straightened her life around--but I know she felt slighted. Is this merely to get back at me?

Or is my mom right to say it's No Big Deal??

It is all too sickening to hear people – theists and atheists alike – speak about how there are “SO MANY” people claiming to have the one true religion and/or the “correct” version of Christianity…

As if this is proof that the Gospel of the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ must be false…!

What kind of pathetic damnable logic is this?!?

It is like being in a burning building with one exit:
Everybody in the building is frantically running a different direction to get out.
A few are actually coming in through the one exit to direct people the One Way out…
But meanwhile, you sit in the middle of the building with your nose in the air, chest puffed out, arms crossed, smirking and mocking, “Look at all the fools running different ways - obviously, there isn’t an exit at all.”
…and the fire consumes you.

My Cat had a small tent that he would walk in and out of
he loved it he would hide in it and I'd put a string in front of it and he'd attack it he destroyed his tent he poked all kinds of holes in it I had to throw it out last night because the metal parts that hold the tent up were sticking out and the way he jumped and tackled it he might have injured himself.

I feel bad because he really loved his tent and he's looking for it today someone gave it to me for $2 does anyone where they sell them online?
