What do you think of it? How does it make you feel? What is your favorite song? Do you think rock operas will dissappear due to the download industry?

The best example is KFC, which uses an "altered version" of Lynyrd Skynyrd's classic "Sweet Home Alabama" in its commercials. The commercial's song sounds similar but is a few notes off from "Sweet Home Alabama" and is played in a different chord and at a faster tempo. My friend and I were wondering if perhaps KFC made this song slightly different so that they could claim it was actually a "different song," and therefore avoid having to get permission from Lynyrd Skinyrd and pay out royalties for using it. Sounds like KFC is being cheap...what do you think?

Another example of this is a commercial I saw earlier today, which uses a song that sounds almost exactly like The Kink's "All day and into the night," but off by a few notes.

Do you think companies do this deliberately to avoid having to pay the artists royalties for using their songs/rifts?

There are various ways in which a person could "travel into the future" in a limited sense: the person could set things up so that in a small amount of their own subjective time, a large amount of subjective time has passed for other people on Earth. For example, an observer might take a trip away from the Earth and back at relativistic velocities, with the trip only lasting a few years according to the observer's own clocks, and return to find that thousands of years had passed on Earth. It should be noted, though, that according to relativity there is no objective answer to the question of how much time "really" passed during the trip; it would be equally valid to say that the trip had lasted only a few years or that the trip had lasted thousands of years, depending on your choice of reference frame.

I want to make our older Snugride car seat more comfortable for our 1-month newborn. After seeing these for sale on ebay I'm wondering if you can just insert them into any Snugride car seat.
Although ours is equipped with the standard head foam, I don't think it ever came with the full sized one that covers the whole seat.

I came in contact with this woman through a penpal program.
Her sentence is 20 years. Elsa was "convicted" of conspiring with a friend to kill her [Elsa's] husband, during an unfriendly divorce and custody battle. Both Elsa and the friend deny the existence of any such conspiracy, despite the fact that the friend was three times offered a reduced sentence if she would testify against Elsa. The verdict in Elsa's first trial was thrown out because of the use of testimony from a former lawyer of Elsa's, despite the fact that his testimony should have been covered by attorney-client privilege. She was retried and is now in prison. The worst problem of all is that Elsa's children are now in custody of their father, and I have in hand an abundance of written material from professionals in the field of child abuse, said materials making it clear that the man had, indeed, abused the children--apparently both sexually and by use of violence. Can anybody give me any ideas of sources for help?

this is not ment for a fight, just wondering. i would get a little offended when some one would say "happy holladays" real offended when i would hear "merry Xmas" to the point i would say "ba humbug" amungst other things.

To me its "Merry Christmas"
the celabration of the birth of Jesus.

so, the question is, because i am curious, as to how many pagan rituals have infiltrated Christmas? And who´s bright idea was it to take Christ out of Christmas and put an X?

another question,

How would you feel if some one crashed your birthday party and said, "you are no longer invited" and on your cake, takes your name out and puts a big X?

I am just wondering? asking where the X came from and why its such a crime to say

"MERRY CHRISTMAS"

I'm an atheist and have never had an adverse reaction from anyone if ever the issue came up. Admittedly it is extremely rare for that to happen.
I was wondering if anyone had had a bad reaction when they mentioned it.
