Rock Operas have completely disappeared already, along with the rest of the rock music scene into the gaping maw of corporate America
And I'm a big time Genesis fan. "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway" is one of their finest achievements. My favorite song from it is the amazing "Carpet Crawlers" It is the song that first got Me into Genesis back in the 80's when AOR statios still had diversity in their playlists.

Wow, this is a step back in time. I have this Lp. I listened to it alot when I was younger. Always jammed it alone. I liked "Back in NYC" the best. Just 'cuz it was pretty dark. If rock opera's dissappear it's because of the bands....not the net.

I love it. Hard to choose my favorite tracks, but if I had to I would say Chamber of 32 Doors and Anyway.

I think this format will come back around in the near future, there will be someone who is ambitious enough to take it on.
