Greetings All,

Our cub scout leaders have agreed that the kids are bored with the classic activity Space Derby. They want something different but do not have a clue as to what.

Any fresh ideas for a pack meeting with 39 kids indoors. We have all of the other events covered (ie, pinewood, cardboard carpet races, pop rockets, skits, blue gold awards, so on.)

Thanks in advance. Again, our meetings are inside a church meeting hall with a decent amount of space... but nothing for like flying things, go carts, so on.

=)

Is this violated if I communicate with my attorney regarding my case via email and she then replies back with opposing counsel on CC?

But my christian friend and his fellow agressors keep jibing me about how I shouldn't be celebrating christmas as I don't understand it's true meaning.

Why in the heck are christians so against me buying gifts for the people I love? Isn't that a big part of what they stand for in the first place?!? To give and not to receive? To be good to your family, friends and neighbours and all that?

Sounds a bit hypocritical to me, just because I'm not religious, doesn't mean I can't buy into the whole "love" thing.

Question is, do I return the MP3 player I bought him as a christmas present to prove a point?

I feel like I don't say it a lot to my mom. and she always says it to me lately at the end of our long distance telephone conversations so it makes me wonder if she doubts that i do or something. but i always feel a bit sheepish. but its my mom right, she's seen me at my worst and best.

I have all 4 of mine grown in, lucky me there was enough room for them. Do you still have yours? Did you have to get them pulled or cut out? And how old were you when you had them removed?

Several weeks ago, my daughter's bike and my mower disappeared from my yard. I called the cops, but with nothing to go on, nothing ever became of it. I walked out to my mail box an hour ago and as I was standing there, some teenage boys that live in a house a block or so away from mine came driving by with their windows down and the passenger yelled "Thanks for the mower!" and the driver said "My sister thanks you for the bike, too!"

I looked over at their license plate- which was a personalize plate- not hard to remember- and came inside and called the cops.

If they'd only known when to keep their mouth shut...

My girlfriend and I have been broken up for 4 months and she called me recently and told me that she misses me and that we had a special relationship. She has been seeing someone else and she has told me several times that he isnt what she wants, they dont have the same connection we have, etc., but she never comes back to me. I think she is just stringing me along, so I told her the last time we talked that I thought she was just messing with me and that I didn't think that she should call me again EVER. When I told her that she hung up on me and I havent heard from her in about a week. I DO love her, but I dont want to be second best or my head played with. I want to be with her because I love her like I no one else. I just dont know what to do. We do have a special relationship but I cant move on if she keeps trying to contact me and tell me how much she misses me, etc. What should I do? Should I ever consider being with her again? If she calls again, should I answer or ignore her?

I've been with her for over a year, but since I've moved away for college, she has taken on a lot of responsibilities (job, a couple sports, babysitting, paper route). However, while I'm gone away during the week, I only have a very short time during the day when I can talk to her because she is always busy. We don't talk much at all during the week. This bothers me, and it bothers me that it doesn't bother her.
She is also busy a lot on weekends, and is often sick, so even when I'm with her I usually have to suck it up. I'm also discouraged by the lack of spontaneity (ie; she never texts me just to say something cute. She says she loves me before the end of a phone convo, but that's it). I've let her know I am not currently happy, but I'm sticking it out because I am hoping it will eventually get better, in the long run.

Am I being whiney? I need words of encouragement.

By the way, there is NOT a third person involved, so there is no need to suggest it. Trust is not the issue

For everyone who believes in the Tribulation how do you prepare for it?

This was asked in someones answer yesterday and I thought I would ask this as a question.

How do you feel about the way the Mormons go about it?
(I'm not talking about the doctrine of Joseph Smith I'm talking about the way they believe in prepareing.)

Most mainstream religions tend to be biased towards one another and many western religions, christianity, islam regard mayan, or aztec or any other religions as myth, as if theirs is'nt wrapped up in myth as well, its all in who has the bigger stick really, you beat the weaker one to submission and he has no choice but to submit to your ideas or beliefs (so many cultures and history has been destroyed because of this,, to indoctrinate a culture to their belief system, hence destroying the rich history of a people, as well as their language and way of life) I'm skeptical of the Jesus story (not if he existed) but same with moses and abraham, definately the account of the The Flood and The parting of the Red Sea...I believe as do many other scholars, that most of the stories in the bible, especially in the Old Testament are rehashes of a much ancient text. Just wanted to know, what are your thoughts on this and do you agree/disagree and why?

Thank you everyone

Okay I declawed my cat a few months ago, we needed to it was either that or get rid of her because she was tearing up our apartment we rent, as Graduate students paying for ripped screens would not be good. Anyways the vet that did was supposed to be board certfied but they really messed it up. They used to much glue and it fused to her bones, so she had to have another surgery where they removed the glue. She still walks with a limp, its been about 4 months. She is now going to another, better vet who said it could be due to nerve damage!!! She has been on pain meds and we love her so much Is there anything we can do or does anybody have any ideas as to what the problem could be? We do physical therapy with her every day (vet recommended we massage her paws). If worst comes to worst the vet says it will be a perminant limp.. what else can we do?

I want to make things better without 'talking about it', even though I am sometimes hurt by his distance/distraction.

It's been rough lately - we nearly split up a little while ago - but we have agreed to work on it.

He doesn't want things to get 'heavy' - and i don't disagree that talking about things can make things worse, sometimes. He has been fed up with 'relationship' discussions - which he tends to head off at the pass by (falsely!) anticipating criticisms, assuming the worst; he'll get snippy and annoyed and feel I'm castigating him when I just want to be understood. He doesn't want to hear about what I'm actually upset about - I don't think I've ever gotten that far, despite my efforts!

So ok, I'm willing to do 'fun' things - we do need more good times. Except we often slip into snapping at each other, or get defensive...

Any advice on how to approach this, with the aim of mending the relationship?

A decomposition reaction separately occurred for 2 samples (a & b) which contained NaHCO3 (solid) (84 g/mol). Both samples weighed the same but one was pure and one was impure. The product of the decomposition of sample a weighed .25 g and the product of sample b weighed .29 g. Assuming all impurities evaporated during heating:

a. determine the grams of NaHCO3 originally in the pure sample

b determine the grams of impurity in the impure sample

c. determine the % of purity

my step daugher is 9 and has been coming to my house for quite a while but before there was not a court order and the mother and the kid decided when it was ok to come. and her mother also tried pushing my husband out of the picture. now neither of us think that it is appropriate for her to have a cell phone her mother got it for her her first court ordered weekend to stay. she has fun with us but can not show that to her mom. I have been involved for 8 years now. so it is not that I am taking her daddy or anything. but her mother tells her to defy our rules. we have a phone and allow her to use it to call her mom any time she wants we also allow her mother to call her. we just do not think that it is appropriate for her to have it all the time flipping it around. when she is here she should not be on the phone with the other family we should be spending time and doing our family things. is it appropriate for her to have this or does mommy need back off. we have other kids and theydont
