A Mormon boy, who I really like, has asked me out. I'm not Christian of any sort, and he knows this. I really would like to go out with him, but I don't want to, if it is considered bad by his community. I wouldn't want to bring him down at all--I'd be happy being his friend and have him date a Mormon girl if it's easier for him. I'm never going to convert...something he also knows.

We all know that Australia is in a drought. We have to do something to stop these major banks and corporations coming to our country and plundering all our natural resources.
Please read this and l hope that you will do this...
For your children and your childrens children.

Make Citi Call You!
Dear Friend,

Citi and Bank of America certainly heard from RAN last week.

Thousands of activists took to the streets during RAN's National Day of Action Against Coal Finance. We held hundreds of actions, rallies and protests from one coast to the other -- and in plenty of places in between. Every action had one clear message for both banks: stop funding coal, start funding renewable energy!

But I have a question for you: What would you say about coal if Citi called you?

Would you ask them why they are the biggest backer of coal, the single biggest cause of global warming?

My fiance and I are planning on going to Jamaica with our family and friends to get married. But, he wants to get married before we go at a JOP to make things easier with my insurance, etc. (you don't get your marriage license from Jamaica for 12-14 weeks).
I talked to my travel agent and she said it's not an option for the Jamaican officials to just not file the marriage certificate once the wedding is finished.
So, is it legal to marry the same person twice and file both licenses for both marriages?

wouldn't it be to our benefit, as atheists, to allow the discussion of intelligent design to at least be brought up in public schools? i'm not saying it should be taught as an equally supported scientific theory, but more as a hypothesis. i believe the more it is brought up in public schools, and the more it is discussed, the more people will realize it's impossible to scientifically support and thus shouldn't be labeled a scientific theory, as people are trying to convince students. we know it's bogus. why not allow it to be subjected to the same scrutiny as every other hypothesis in science that became theory and see if it can stand up to the same rigorous testing?

The Indian markets, for that matter, any emerging markets seem to follow suit with the US markets. If the US closes in green, everyone expects a gap up opening here in India and If a red closing in wall st, then a red opening in India. Why does this happen? Are there Foreign Investors who buy and sell on a daily basis only based on US markets and not based on the fundamentals of the company they are investing in? Can anyone explain this phenomenon... What has US stocks got anything to do with opening of Indian or any other emerging markets?

I've been wanting lately to expand my cooking ability to include dry beans. I know how to cook them, and I always use them for chili ... but what else is good to do with them as a meat replacement? Just serving them up plain with veggies beside them is always possible, but I'd really love to hear some more creative ideas. Also, I remember hearing once that there's something you can put in with the beans while they cook that will help eliminate the gas ... anyone know anything about that?
