I have 3 mean kitties that could single handedly tear any dog to shreds. I would prefer them over a dog because cats are smarter.

I have a kitten and I'm a girl....my bf has a cat....honestly though, cats are for people who are too lazy to take care of a real pet- a dog.
I want a dog, but the bf said no so I settled for a cat who thinks he's a dog....
are cats smarter? I don't think so....but who am I to say.

NO!! It's not wrong, for heaven's sake! I think it's great for a man to like cats as pets. Not only are they smarter.... But they are also cleaner! That alone makes them worth having around..... Cats make great companions. Right now, we have 3 small dogs in the house and it's a pain in the butt! I'd like to have one small dog and a cat or two. I miss having a cat. But one of our dogs hates cats and freaks out everytime she sees one. And when we did have one.... She ran him off. SO! I hope you continue to have your kitties and be proud of them.

I see nothing wrong with an individual, regardless of gender, preferring one species of animal over another. The idea that the species of pet somehow represents or reinforces (or detracts from) one's gender or masculinity seems ludicrous. So is the idea that the capability of destruction these animals possess somehow makes them more appropriate for the gender of their owner.
Keep your kitties, they're nothing to be insecure about. Pets should not be a totem of one's gender. In otherwords, no, cats aren't too girly to be a dude's pet.

I have two cats and am thinking of getting another kitten. I love cats because they are unique, individuals, cleaner, easier to take care of and yes, in the event they have to be, much meaner. A dog will only hurt someone when it has to. A cat will hurt you for any reason at all, and enjoy it.

A man can like any pet he wants. As can a women like any pet she wants. Won't make either of them any less of a man/women. I happen to love bunny rabbits. I also really like cats too. Dogs, not so much. But I don't dislike them either.

Cats are wonderful pets. Dog lovers tend to be more tolerable to messes and love to take their dogs everywhere with them.

i hope not. I prefer cats over dogs. I don't need to take care of them as much and whenever i want to play with them, they want to play. Dogs just don't ever leave me alone. At least cats do
