Yea I know this doesn't make much sense, but somehow believers see the logic in these arguments.

Wouldn't it be easier to just tell us what the climate is going to be like next month instead of specious arguments?

After all, we know the output of co2, we know the impact co2 has on the climate, so we should be able to forecast the amount of warming for any level of co2.

I've been divorced for quite a while now and my ex husband knows I've already moved on since the separation, as he has also. I just got engaged to my bf of almost a year in October and that same week we became pregnant. I already have 3 boys with my XH so this will be my fourth. I told my kids about the baby and they are so excited but I've told them to keep it quiet for now and not to tell their dad just yet, until I'm ready for him to know. My question is how do you break that kind of news to an ex husband when you know it will make him a little upset. He had a vasectomy before we separated because he didnt' want any more kids. I don't want him "wishing" bad things for us and the new baby.. =( should I tell him? He'll eventually know anyway.

Thanks!!

What are the major determinants of long-term economic growth? How accurate, in general, are most forecasts of long-term economic growth? Explain why you take this position.

Would you rather have a partner who is or isnt a virgin?

Virgin = inexperienced but you can train him to how you like.

Not virgin = experienced but might not be in a style to your taste.

So which would you prefer?

Any other comments?

(for those of you who are in countries other than the UK who are about to say it is illegal for 16-17 year olds to consent to intercourse, the age of consent in the UK is 16, not 18)

I often hear people saying that other players in the NFL have been convicted of things "much worse" than Vick, like DUI/vehicular manslaughter, selling drugs and other such things but they still play. I feel that these people are missing the malicious, blatant CRUELTY of what Mike Vick has done. I feel that they fail to see the element of intent that is present when you kill a dog on purpose or pit them in horrible fights againsteach other, an element that is not there when someone is selling drugs or gets in a drunken accident and kills somebody. True, a death from a DUI is terrible but it is an accident. You didn't intentionally kill the person. You didn't sit back and delight in their suffering or hope to make money off of it. That, to me, is the difference.
What do you think? Is there a difference? Do you think Mike Vick should be allowed to play in the NFL again?

"Only when we can love hell will we find heaven."-- Unknown source

"When you are able to contain both the light and dark together, that is a very enlightening state. It means that you no longer have to choose one experience over another. You do not have to choose love OR hate, blame OR forgiveness, sadness OR joy, anger OR openheartedness. You are no longer polarized; no particular feeling boxes you in and keeps you from the light of true self. You then have access to the full range of human experiences you came into this life to embrace."-- Martia Nelson

Your kind and respectful thoughts, please?

I understand that it's because they have to eat more often so naturally they are fussy more often when they want their food.

I agree that breastfeeding is best for the baby, especially in the first few crucial days. But my medication forces me to bottle feed, so please don't preach.

My friend's baby is breastfed and incredibly fussy. My baby girl is so good, so attentive and active and her baby just screams and screams. She can't take it sometimes, she drops her off at my house so she can clear her head. And of course, the baby is fussy for me too. Because of this, she's slowly weaning her and moving her towards bottles, and she's been MUCH happier, we saw her smile for the first time!

I guess my question is...
Do you think that the added health benefits of breastfeeding are worth the stress the baby goes through being hungry ALL the time? I want my baby to feel full. I myself was a bottle fed baby and I'm thin, bright, happy, and healthy, as are all my sibs.

In science the word theory has a different meaning than it does for the average person. A theory has observations, evidence, and facts to back it up. Theories are an explanation of how and why something is the way it is. The Theory of Gravity for example explains what causes gravity. The Law of Gravity simply states what gravity does. The apple falls when you let go. A theory does not become a law. If anything a theory is higher on the pecking order than a law.
Evolution is not a guess. It has observations, evidence, and facts backing it up. Scientist have observed evolution in smaller and simpler organisms. They know it happens, they can watch it and measure it.
Does anyone else have a hard time understanding how so many people can put on blinders when it comes to science that doesn’t support their religious belief systems?

Step mother has been bothering me. She's always been obsessed with being their mom since long before she broke up my marriage and finally married my ex. I am the custodial parent, but she constantly berates me in front of my children, on the web and with relatives that buy her act. She ball busts my ex into harrassing me with the legal system and she's trying to get him to go after custody. They are both unfit parents and I want this emotional torture to stop. The father never gave a care for his kids until she nagged him into it and he just wants to get them for her to have. He complains about paying cs, he pesters me for documentation of everything so that he can try to use against me. He won't talk about parenting with me, when they are at his house she's the boss. Any advise?

Recently Halifax, Nova Scotia(Canada) a by-law was just passed that makes smoking in your vehicle with children illegal.
Now although myself I smoke but would never smoke in a vehicle with a child, I believe this is a violation civil rights.

Before Anti-Smokers jump down my throat, I don't agree with smoking in a house of vehicle with young children in it but I do believe that should be the choice of the parent.

I would be interested to hear other opinions on it and if you think its a human rights violation.

Mormons will say they saw the plates. others say that the account given was that they testified to seeing some plate like things covered by a cloth. Another account I read was that only he was able to see the plates. Sight of the actual plates would cause death. Can any mormons tell me what they know from Mormon accounts? Mormons don't seek information that is not faith promoting, but this is importatant. There seem to be so many problems with these whitnesses. excommunication, fights over money land (that information is out there, I'll give a link). It seems like the only thing those whitnesses were good at was being Mormon, so they came back. I think the stigma really hurt them from what I read. anyways, can someone tell me what a "true" account of the whitnessing was...and I'm not talking about seeing a light in the woods...what did he show them?
