I just read this article and it made me wonder:

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/11/18/magazine/18wwln-medium-t.html

I have to admit that when I was growing up, I didn't watch much "Sesame Street", but I'm kind of bothered by some of the changes that have taken place on the show. The author of the article mentions the depression of Oscar the Grouch. I can't help but think that getting rid of a depressed character (Oscar) and replacing it with a euphoric one (Elmo) sends the wrong message to kids. If anything, it sends the message that your emotions are acceptable only as long as they don't bring other people down and that you shouldn't share your pain. Not only that, but while I'm well aware of the fact there is a major obesity problem here in the US, it's ridiculous to get rid of or to change the diet of Cookie Monster. (He IS called Cookie Monster for a reason, you know!) I doubt that there are any Gen Xers out there who will say that their lives were damaged by early episodes of

My cat died in september and i want a dog. I am 13 and am willing to help out alot. I'm even ok with poop scooping. We are looking for a dog that is okay outside, we have a big backyard, not too small and not too big. We would not let it in the house too often just when it was a puppy. Should we get a a dog or no? If so what kind?

Printer Sharing:

I have a wireless router with two PC’s connected to the internet wirelessly with no problem. One of the PC’s has a USB printer attached to it and this works fine.

How do set up the other wireless PC so that it can share the same printer? Simple step by step instructions would be much appreciated. Everyone tells me to just share the printer on the PC that is connected to the printer and on the other PC just add a printer by browsing but I cannot get it to work. Also I do not see either PC from one another. Am I missing something such as setting up a network?

Agree with him or not, you can trust that Obama really believes what he says. Hillary says whatever she thinks will get votes & will not even get as many votes as John Kerry did. I don't agree with many of Obama's stands but here is a positive aspect that can be respected:

[An abortion protester at a campaign event] handed me a pamphlet. "Mr. Obama, I know you're a Christian, with a family of your own. So how can you support murdering babies?"
I told him I understood his position but had to disagree with it. I explained my belief that few women made the decision to terminate a pregnancy casually; that any pregnant woman felt the full force of the moral issues involved when making that decision; that I feared a ban on abortion would force women to seek unsafe abortions, as they had once done in this country. I suggested that perhaps we could agree on ways to reduce the number of women who felt the need to have abortions in the first place. "I will pray for you," the protester...

Is it viewed as a sin to jump on a grenade to save your fellow soldiers or civilians?

You are voluntarily killing yourself, but you are saving others. Is this viewed as suicide even?
By all definitions it is, but is it wrong?

I think its perfectly allright and is an honorable death, but what do you think?

I cant stand it! I've told him and it causes a fight. He says that he "finds his wife attractive". I say thats fine, but you cant just grab me all the time and a hug doesnt always mean sex! Have you had this problem?

I am a value investor and been in the market for quite some time now. Almost all of my portfolio is the Vanguard value funds for Small, mid and Large cap. Also I hold a big position in the REIT index fund. But almost all these securities have been doing really bad for the past 2-3 Qtrs. I see my portfolio going down in value every Qtr. Should I trade positions for some growth funds ? What do think future holds for Value and REIT funds?
