Agree with him or not, you can trust that Obama really believes what he says. Hillary says whatever she thinks will get votes & will not even get as many votes as John Kerry did. I don't agree with many of Obama's stands but here is a positive aspect that can be respected:

[An abortion protester at a campaign event] handed me a pamphlet. "Mr. Obama, I know you're a Christian, with a family of your own. So how can you support murdering babies?"
I told him I understood his position but had to disagree with it. I explained my belief that few women made the decision to terminate a pregnancy casually; that any pregnant woman felt the full force of the moral issues involved when making that decision; that I feared a ban on abortion would force women to seek unsafe abortions, as they had once done in this country. I suggested that perhaps we could agree on ways to reduce the number of women who felt the need to have abortions in the first place. "I will pray for you," the protester...

"I will pray for you," the protester said. "I pray that you have a change of heart." Neither my mind nor my heart changed that day, nor did they in the days to come. But that night, before I went to bed, I said a prayer of my own-that I might extend the same presumption of good faith to others that had been extended to me.

Obama seams to be a good candidate, but he is on the fence on so many issues that I would not feel confident that he could lead this country. Hillary on the other hand is a socialist and wishy-washy on many topics. Its a catch 22 with both of them. Besides, I want to know what they really think and what they will really do to make this country better and lead this country into the future. I think more information needs to come out about all of the candidates, not just a select few before I make a decision based solely on what party they belong to, or how they feel about a few issues.

Why are you letting the media decide this for us?

There are other candidates. Edwards, for instance.

I don't know how the general election would go. Hilary comes out winner in quite a few polls, whoever they put her up against.

That may change.

I like Obama, but wish he'd waited until he was more experienced.

Look in to Edwards. He's spent the years since the last election listening to Americans, and really thinking his policies through.

I agree that Barack Obama has the best chance. It shows in the polls that his likablity is above Giuliani's. People vote on likability more than anything else. How do you think Bush won the second time around?

Obama is the most liberal candidate running. This man can say a lot of words which in the end mean absolutely nothing. I would vote for Hillary Clinton all day before I'd vote for Obama. He is a wolf in sheep's clothing and anyone who thinks Hillary will take the country to hell in 4 years; Obama will do it in less than one year. He is deceptive in his orations and it would be disaster for Americans to elect this inexperienced person who doesn't have a clue about the executive branch of the government. I loathe this man. There is something about him that screams "evil" to me.

Yes and no. Hillary will not win the election and Obama is too racist to win.

Joe Biden would have been the one to promote, he's got experience and know how to work across party lines. We'll have another Republican I'm afraid

I agree nominate Obama. Hillary would not win for sure, Obama may have a chance to appeal to independents.

I think they are not going to win with either. Americans are NOT ready for either a woman president or a black president.
It matters not what either one stands for - it is their sex and skin color.

Sad but I totally believe true.

The Dem's have short time to come up with another choice or they will LOSE.
