First off, I'm not pregnant, don't have kids, and I won't for a while. Anyway, back to the point...

I don't want any of my future kids to believe in Santa. I never really did. My parents never said he was real, but never said he wasn't either. I thought the whole thing was stupid when I did find out for myself.

So, I don't even want my kids to start off with that belief, I think it's unnecessary.
My question then is this: How would I keep my kids from telling other people's kids that Santa isn't real? I know some kids get really traumatized when they find out, and I know a lot of parents want their kids to believe.
I don't want to offend anyone or have other people's kids come home crying because my child said there was no such thing.

It's a delicate subject I think, and I want to know the best way to go about it.

I am fascinated by the increasing knowledge they are finding on the topic of migraines. I get the classic fireworks, aura, sensitivity to light, increasing nausea with a terrible crescendo of the nausea till its so bad I cannot sit, stand, breath, anything. Then...usually within 24-48 hours, it breaks and the relief is almost instantaneous.

My 5 month old son has lost all interest in nursing during the day. I tried using his schedule, but it was making me nuts, he'd only eat at night and seemed to be up every hour. I've gone to feeding him a few bottles of formula during the day, which he happily gobbles down. I've tried nursing him in a quiet room during the day, but he really just seems to want formula. At night he doesn't care. He's now only getting up a couple of times in the night to nurse. I'm okay with feeding him formula during the day. However, can I maintain a milk supply for feeding him this way? I'm perfectly happy feeding him this way, provided I can nurse him still at night. The idea of doing bottles at 3am isn't very appealing!

Why would we not do stem cell research when there are 2.1 million abortions per year? I mean seriously, you know how many lives we could possibly save! Ridiculous!

Don't take me the wrong way I do think it's wrong if we are intentionally killing embryos to get the stem cells. But if there are 2.1 million abortions per year, than why would we not use those stem cells for the research?

Oh yes, 2.1 million are only the REPORTED cases. Who knows how many unreported abortions there are.

I'm doing a project on the Res Gestae, and one of the questions asks if there are any contemporary examples of similar documents. By contemporary, I mean similar documents that were created at about the same time, not "contemporary" in the sense that it has modern counterparts.

I...am not coming up with anything, and Google has failed me. I asked this question in a less specific form and someone replied that it reads like a resume -- and it does, but I don't need modern comparisons, I need historical ones that are more or less contemporaneous with the Res Gestae. Any ideas?
