Please help! I'm fifteen, and I really want to try reading it, but I don't know which one to read. Are they just, like, book versions, or is there some sort of script-type of book? Which one is best for me to read??

Romeo and Juliet was one of the best plays i have ever read. Im only 14 and I luved it.
I read the original version but with side notes that tell you what some of the words meant, it really did come in handy.
Then i also watched 2 versions of the film the one with Leonardo DiCaprio and an older version brought out in 1968 i think x but they also helped to understand what they mean. It really is very good and you should read it. but the Origional Version is the best, it gives of the proper feel of the play x It was the (Oxford School Shakespeare) Romeo and Juliet, I read, and it has Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes on the fron cover x

Hope that helped x

You will find a book called, "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare." When you find it, open it to "Romeo and Juliet," and start reading.

Read the original Shakespeare.

If it's too difficult, read 'West Side Story' which has the same basic plot, then read the original Shakespeare (which is in play [script] format)

There are cliff notes/coles notes/study notes versions of Shakespeares more famous and studied plays in plain modern English. Nothing is abridged or cut out. The whole play is there, just not in that "forsooth" language.
