I run a small business. I am closed Sundays and Mondays. I am always at my store and only have part time help that comes in to help me in the afternoon. When reps call, I pretty much tell them any time between 11-5 will work for me Tues-Fri. I don't need a set appointment because I am always there. A few weeks ago I had a lady call to set up an appointment. I remember looking on the calendar to see what day it was. When I saw it was not a Monday I said fine. I thought it was the very end of Nov. Well tonight I checked my messages at my store and this rep called at 11 saying she was sitting in my parking lot and I was closed. She said that we had an appointment. I would not make an appointment on a Monday because it is the day I am closed, unless I looked at the wrong calendar month when scheduling with her. I feel terrible and have been looking forward to purchasing from this company. How do I apologize for missing the appt?

I truly wanna be a Music Producer, and I'm in college right now, but I feel like I'm wastin my mom's money cuz I honestly can't see myself doin anything else. But I've been at a crossroad for the past year, cuz I know what my heart wants, but my mind is *HORRIFIED* that I'll be a failure. Ok, I am in my second year at the University of Memphis and I was staying at a dorm my first semester but that didn't work out (My roommate was smoking crack and weed in my room and the cops caught him and he didnt get kicked out so I moved back home). The thing is that I am basically cutting myself off from my parents because of personal problems and I have to move into an apartment. However, I have a car note and bills that I have to pay along with the rent and utilities. My dad makes an *** load of money so I was really limited on how much I could get from federal loans the first year but now Im moving out I dont have his help. Does that mean I can get more money from fed loans or what? I am at a loss for what to do and I have to be out by Jan. 1st. I have NO IDEA what needs to be done and this is without a doubt the worst holiday season of my freaking life... If anyone has sugestions about other loans I could get or anything please help me out.

I am trying to get over my fear. There are people that have certain hair and skin coloring which make me think of a vampire.
I'm not scared of black people. Im not even scared of very very dark people with dark hair such as orange colored mexicans.
Im only scared of dark haired people with kind of olive or light olive skin because of the color contrast. These people invariably have a mouth and full lips which in my nightmares could possible suck blood from me, and paralyze me while they are doing it. It has evolved from my fear of manekkins when I was very small to now this.
Please dont mistake that I am a racist. It has nothing to do with race. If the person only dyed their hair dark it doesn't affect me. I can tell the difference between a person with natural dark hair and a person who dyed their hair dark. The natural dark haired ones scare me.
In order to get over my fear, should I try and dye my hair? Does anyone actually think it would work?

My daughter is 7- almost 8. Her father lives a few states away. Once in awhile he's come up here to spend a holiday- but she has never spent a holiday away with him or his family. This year he called yesterday and asked if she could go with him to his families for Thanksgiving- he'd come out here and get her and then take her our there for a few days and then bring her back. I said ok- and for whatever reason made the dumb mistake and told my daughter. She was more than excited. Anyways- tonight he says, "i dont think it's going to work.. why don't i just come out there and stay for thanksgiving and then she can come out here for christmas" UGH! How should I handle this? My daughter is completely crushed-

First, I'm from California. I just started a job that's seasonal for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Just a normal call center job but I work about 11 hours a day. I know I get 3 hours of overtime each day, but after the 4th day, that totals to 44 hours of work already. That's 12 hours of overtime, but in California you receive overtime for every hour over 40 hours worked in a week. That's so far 32 hours of normal pay and 12 hours of overtime. BUT if I work anymore that week, is every hour over that considered overtime, or do I have to put in 8 hours more of regular pay hours to make 40 hours of regular pay hours? Also, when is double pay other than more than 12 hours a day? And, if I continued to work 11 hours for the rest of the week (thats 7 days x 11 hours), how much would my paycheck be if I make $10 an hour without tax taken off?
