More people have to care for things to change and they dont.
We need to use less of the oil they sell us and drill in Alaska if we need to. Work at home so we use less gas.. thier are so many ways we could use less and not in these just for show ways you see hollywood actors doing.

To my knowledge, they don't give the lashes at once. They separate them. And this case fascinated me. I thought, WTF? Why would those retards punish someone for being RAPED? Then after reading further, the sentence she got was because she was having sex with someone else, then the rapists found them and took advantage. So it's not punishment for rape, obviously.

She was probably gonna be one of the virgins they are promised! Unfair yes but these countries have always treated their dogs better than women and to think this is their prize for killing Christians is they don't conform to their religion-I don't get that part how will they treat them when they get to Hell? Like the ones on earth? These men are totally mental in their thinking and the women are the only ones to stop them they need to step up and slaughter the basterds!

200 lashes could result in death.
Can you even imagine the horror of the pain and the humiliation? That poor poor girl....my heart bleeds for her.
Surely protests could be staged against this atrocity?
Surely Oprah & other strong women like Ellen D should speak out NOW???
IF all the well known celebs spoke strongly about this issue, they could make a difference to poorer women that have no voice....
or is oil more important?

Probably.

Saudi Arabia is an excellent example of what happens when there is no separation between Church & State.

The Saudi's are reprehensible, but we musn't forget that the Saudi Royal Family are very good friends with the Bush family and that our SUVs are fed with Saudi oil.

I honestly don't know what I can do to improve the treatment of women in the Mid East. Any ideas?

I think you just asked the question a little too early and that is why noone is answering.

I care, but I don't think anyone knows what to do.
I would like to know if the men in this attack were lashed, too, as they had a non-related woman in the car.

This is normal in Saudi Arabia. They recently beheaded a man accused of witchcraft.
These people are living in the dark ages yet we are selling them billions of dollars worth of sophisticated weapons.
