A man had been driving all night and by morning was still
far from his destination. He decided to stop at the next
city he came to and park somewhere quiet so he could get an
hour or two of sleep. As luck would have it, the quiet place
he chose happened to be on one of the city's major jogging
routes.

No sooner had he settled back to snooze when there came a
knocking on his window.

He looked out and saw a jogger running in place.

"Yes?"

"Excuse me, sir," the jogger said, "do you have the time?"

The man looked at the car clock and answered, "8:15."

The jogger said thanks and left. The man settled back again
and was just dozing off when there was another knock on the
window and another jogger.

"Excuse me, sir, do you have the time?"

"8:25!"

The jogger said thanks and left. Now the man could see other
joggers passing by and he knew it was only a matter of time
before another one disturbed him.

To avoid the problem, he got out a pen and paper and put a
sign in his window saying, "I do not know the time!"

Once again he settled back to sleep. He was just dozing off
when there was another knock on the window.

"Sir? It's 8:45."

The first time they concluded that it wasn't suicide, and wasn't murder....this time, they say that it was definately murder and not "accidental"

How did they decide that it was accidental the first time? How do you accidentally drown yourself?

Maybe I'm just not thinking outside the box, could someone enlighten me?

oh, and also tell me if your opinion on this, was this a case of obvious incompitence or an easy mistake to have made the first time round?

My bathroom walls are plasterboard which are skimmed and painted.

Is it ok to tile on top of this? and if i do will I run the risk of the tiles falling off in a few years?
I'm considering pulling down all the plasterboard and putting up good quality plywood in its place to tile on. Is this the best thing to do?

My 2½ year old son L-O-V-E-S the music video for the song "Grace Kelly" by the singer/songwriter "Mika". There have been speculations as to the sexuality of said musician and he has declined to clarify (basically, he refuses to identify as gay, straight, bisexual, whatever).

After hearing from MANY many people on this site that dressing a male child in a Halloween costume which does not conform to the stereotypical clothing style associated with his gender may "turn him gay" or "psychologically scar him", I have to wonder if people also consider music videos containing "possibly gay" recording artists to be, like the Halloween costume, a "catalyst for gayness".

Here's a link to the music video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=uzA0nG_PurQ

My cat's urine volume has more than doubled recently and she's been throwing up nearly every day for about the last week. We are using a food recommend by the vet. The vet rant some test that ruled out diabetes and a UTI.

I wonder if it is time to switch to a new vet.

My 27 year old single son is moving to his own apartment in February (always had roommates) and has just become really interested in cooking. I am giving him an enameled covered dutch oven for Christmas, but would also like to give him a fairly comprehensive cookbook with it. I was given the "Joy of Cooking" when I got married and it was a staple in my kitchen. However I have also been told that the Betty Crocker and/or Fannie Farmer cookbooks are best for beginners. Which cookbook would you choose if you could only choose one.
