This topic was on GMA this morning while I was getting dressed. I think I did a little cheer when I found out that one company started a no-tolerance gossip ban, and has fired 3 people so far. My boss couldn't initiate this policy because everyone would be fired.

Office gossip spreads like wildfire and ruins reputations, self-esteem and is extremely damaging to peoples lives.

What's your take on it? I'm all for a no-tolerance office gossip ban.

One of my great aunts used to be a caterer and is a very good cook. However, she refuses to give out any of her recipes to ANYONE. At a baby shower this past weekend, she declared (as she does at just about any function whenever anyone says they like what she's made) that no one will get her recipes until the day she dies. And when she says no one, she means NO ONE.

I know they're her recipes and she can do what she wants with them, but I just found it a little rude. I've always taken wanting to exchange recipes as a pretty high compliment. Even if I did have a recipe that I wanted to keep secret, I'd at least let my family in on it! I can totally understand not exactly wanting friends and other visitors in on some things, but FAMILY???

What are your thoughts on this?

If you are adopted or an adoptee please tell me??? How long did it take you to find your birth parents? What made you want to persue this supposidly long drawn out ordeal?? Any suggestions to how to get started?? I am torn between filling out the papers but im not sure if this is the right thing at my middle age..I found out late in life and really dont have too much info on my birth parents..my adopted mom..my mom i know of no other passed recently and no one seems to be talking about the adoption??? Why are people like that?? So unhelpful when it comes to family secrecy? HELP??

My sister and I are at odds over this. She says that since her daughter is afraid of Santa and that teaching about Santa takes away from the true meaning of Christmas (I agree so far) EXCEPT that she thinks it is okay to teach her daughter that Frosty The Snowman brings gifts to her on Christmas morning. I do not see a difference in teaching Santa or Frosty. She says that it is okay to teach Frosty brings the presents instead of Santa because Santa takes away from the true meaning of Christmas but Frosty doesn't. It doesn't matter to me if she teaches her Santa or Frosty as long as the true meaning is also taught (which is taught) BUT I don't see what the difference is between teaching who brings gifts on Christmas morning to boys & girls. What is the difference?

It happened, probably more than 15 times already. At first, I didn't pay attention to it. But it came to a point when I was actually expecting the light to turn off everytime that I had to look at the light and it would turn off just as soon as I looked at it! It's kind of creepy. I keep on imagining things that might be a reason for it. They're kinda funny but I can't help myself!

My husband has cheated on me at least two times that I know of, he refuses to get a job, never lets me go out, won't let me have any friends, and always makes me fill like crap just because I leave him with our two children so I can work to support us. Infact the only thing about him that makes me happy is our sex life. I really do love him and I am trying to make things work for our childrens sake. I am so depressed and feel trapped! I tried to leave him earlier this year but I just seemed to be even more unhappy. What should I do? Why do I care so much?
