I find this comforting during times of despair,
"Yet God does not forsake me. When the light of faith dawns once more, and I turn back to him, I see that his love never fails. I see that no day is too long or lonely, no burden too heavy, no trial too great, because God is with me."

While encouragement from others might feel like a lift, the best thing you can do is to value your own opinion. You have to recognize your own self-worth and work on fixing a damaged self-image.
Two things seem to work for me that you might want to try...
1. Exercise. Get out and start an exercise regime that will really tire you out. After a few days you'll find you are sleeping better and this can help with your emotional balance. A week and you'll feel physically better making you want to do more.
2. Find some way to get out to a new situation and help people. Volunteer at an assisted living facility or tutor at a local school. Anything where you are spending 100% of your time giving. You'll be amazed how much you find yourself thinking that you are receiving more than you are giving.

Since this question is in the Marriage/Divorce section I would assume that you're upset over the end of a relationship. I sorry you're having to go through this. You've got to remember though that no matter how bad the relationship was or how it ended, you've learned, you've grown and you WILL be able to get through this. Take what you know now, stand tall, spread your wings and jump back into your life. Get out and be with other people, do things that make you happy. You truly are worth it, just make sure you know that. Here's looking at you kid! And I wish you the very best of luck.

Xandadu,
Dear, calm down. Someone wise once told me not to make any big decisions when you are feeling down. So just forget about that. If you hang on this bad time will pass.
Make a doctor appointment. There are prescriptions that can help you manage your feelings so that you can think things through better. There is no shame in that. Lots of people use them.
When all else fails you can always talk to God. He is a good listener and He cares for you more than anyone else. Tell Him about your anger, your despair, your fear. Say whatever you want to say.
Hang in there dear. Don't make any big decisions today!

There are people in this world that do care about you. There is light at the end of the tunnel and all you have to do is make a call. Please call a hot line in your area or a local health health care provider or a church that you can go to. Reach out right away. I know you can do it.
You are who you are for a reason. You're part of an intricate plan. You're a precious and perfect unique design, called God's special woman or man. No, that trauma you faced was not easy. And God wept that it hurt you so; but it was allowed to shape your heart so that into his likeness you'd grow.
This is part of a poem by Russell Kelfer in the book The Purpose Driven Life. I love that poem becasue it spoke to me.
Please call someone. I do care.

You are special and unique and sometimes life throws things at us that gets us down but we need to have faith in the future. Life has ups and downs and if we do not keep marching on then we are failures. You have the power to get through whatever it is that has you down. You can make a difference and you can make a difference in other peoples lives. You have a reason and a purpose for being here and you can shine. You have so many talents and strengths that what ever it is your are going through is just a bump in the road you have the courage and the strength to move forward and put that behind you and keep going for the glory.
God Bless you...................... you are one of his angels.

There is no earthly reason to do yourself in...You have a purpose here....suicide is the cowardly way of handling things when there are problems....it is permanent solution to temporary problems...You are responsible for your own happiness...NOBODY can make you happy or make you unhappy...because in the end...you have the final say....Please be good to yourself...you are worthwhile and there are more people who do care about you then you ever thought possible...

It WILL be o.k. - always is. We all go through some very rough times. You just have to "roll with the punches", and triumph over the bastards. There's so much that Life has to offer, and you deserve the best.

I don't know what is going on in your life, but there is no person on this earth worth ending it for!!! If you rely on God, there is nothing that the two of you can't handle together. I have been through divorce, and the death of my son. I would have never made it without my faith in God!!
