My sister in law has been a solo mum for about 2 years and is struggling to make the bills. She will not take charity, but I know that she is not going to be able to give her 2 kids a good xmas. We are in a position to help financially, how can we get her to understand that its not charity, its just a helping hand to make it a great family time with the kids?

I'm tired of seeing people use invalid measuring criteria. You can't use wins, as Richard Petty competed in seasons that had many more races. You also can't use championships, as the scoring system is different than it was when Petty and Earndhardt won their 7 Cup titles. Not to mention the competition is much stiffer today than it was in the past.

I can't think of a valid measuring system, and I'm curious to see what ideas you guys come up with!

can you get on a military base if you have a criminal record? one of my friends has a criminal record but the army would let him join. This info is needed for a dance in april at an air force base but we're getting ready to fill out the information.

I just went to the store to buy Photoshop and wow was I surprised at the price of it. Is there a way to get photoshop free by downloading it into my computer. If not does anyone know of a site that I could buy it from that is cheaper and reliable. Which version of photoshop is the best, I want to fix, crop, put borders and be very professional and creative with my pictures. "Now class, I'm going to reach into the bag and describe a piece of fruit, and you tell what fruit I'm talking about. Okay, first: it's round, plumb and red."

Of course, Johnny raised his hand high, but the teacher, wisely ignored him and picked Deborah, who promptly answered,
"An apple."

The teacher replied,
"No Deborah, it's a beet, but I like your thinking. Now for the second. It's soft, fuzzy, and colored red and brownish."

Well, Johnny is hopping up and down in his seat trying to get the teacher to call on him. But she skips him again and calls on Billy.

"Is it a peach?" Billy asks.

"No, Billy, I'm afraid it's a potato. But I like your thinking," the teacher replies.
"Here's another: it's long, yellow, and fairly hard."

By now Johnny is about to explode as he waves his hand frantically. The teacher skips him again and calls on Sally.

"A banana," she says.

"No," the teacher replies.
"It's a squash, but I like your thinking."

Johnny is kind of irritated now, so he speaks up loudly.
"Hey, I've got one for you teacher; let me put my hand in my pocket. Okay, I've got it: it's round, hard, and it got a head on it."

Every audio receiver in my house will just turn off on their own. I have three different receivers they have been tried on every outlet in the house and the house is only like 25 years old. Does anybody have any idea what would be causing this and maybe an idea how to fix it. Once they turn off they will turn right back on but off again. One is brand new and doesn't do it as bad. They aren't that hot at all, and I am puzzled.

The horse and cowboy has a shadow lightly stamped over itself and rotated slightly as if it was smeared. i held two coins side by side and it is clearly a stamping flaw or maby it was double stamped but i am no profesional just a machinist/tool maker.
