I use to have it working in my last location but since I moved, I can't get my cam to work and it is getting depressing not being able to see my husband in Afgan. I have downloaded the most recent messenger but it is telling me that I still need to download it. Can someone help?

um, go into prefrences and change the web cam till it works and mike good luck

Un-install Messenger using Add / Remove Programs. Then, download a fresh copy and install it.
"I have downloaded the most recent messenger but it is telling me that I still need to download it." tells me that the previous download was corrupted.
When Messenger no longer displays that error message, you should be able to get your web cam working, easily.
