Well, aside from the fact that I am the "enemy" now, she comes home and runs straight into her room and locks the door. She does this every single day. She had a sleep over with her friends and I offered to play a board game with her and her friends (huge mistake! and since when are board games not fun?). How can I connect with her?

I'm 36yrs old, I've never been broody & actually, as time goes by I feel less like having a child.
I live with my partner of 6yrs in rented accommodation.
I have a good job as a lecturer on good pay but I have debts of £30k which will take me at least 5yrs to pay off (enjoyed 8yrs of being a student which I don't regret for one minute!)
My partner is freelance and struggles.
We can't afford to buy a house in the current UK property market climate.
I love kids, don't get me wrong - my baby sis has a 5yr old girl who I adore & her 2nd is due very soon which is exciting. My middle sis is trying to get pregnant.
I would rather get married than have a baby, but my other half kind of swings the other way & is against marriage.
We do discuss things & are very close but these issues have never seemed important until now.
I feel more like 26 than 36 & love travelling, visiting friends at the drop of a hat & partying!
I'm slightly worried that I will regret missing out.. but seriously, will I?!!

Have any of you dedicated a day for prayer and spend the day in the presence of the Lord?

I am doing just such a thing on Monday. I felt a need to request the day off last Wednesday, and did so. That night, in reading an article in Pray! magazine, the writing was talking about taking a pray day each month, or at least each quarter. Immediately, I knew that was what I was to do with my day on Monday.

So, I will packing a light lunch, some water, my prayer notebook and Bible, and head out to Weedon Island for some quiet time in His creation with God. The enemy already tried to attack the day, having a mess start at work at the last minute on Friday, and I was considering going in, until I realized that I legitimately have the day off. By changing my plan, I would be putting work, the world, before God. The work can wait one day. God must be first.

So, have any of you taken a day for prayer? Or attended a prayer retreat?

If women do not make up 50% or so of the world's professors, doctors, scientists, (or any other occupation), does this automatically point to discrimination? Are there other possible reasons for varying percentages of female workers in each field?

I'll give one to start - chefs are overwhelmingly male - perhaps women prefer jobs which require less hours to excel, since chefs often work 70 hours a week. This could be because they want more time with family.

Among several other stupid problems they have, she needs advice on what to do in this particular situation..
So yesterday morning, she was running late for work..he was aware of that, and he was supposed to drive her to work so he could use her car. She needed to leave at 7:45a to be at work at 8:30, well it was now 10-8a, and she was rushing. Well, in the middle of all that, he wanted to have sex before she left, and she said no because she was gonna be late, and this is a new job. Well what did he do? He put the covers over his head, and completely ignored her . COMPLETELY!!! She ended up driving herself to work (which she didn't mind). But the point is that when he doesn't get his way, he pouts like a little boy! It's STUPID! And to top it off, he begins to talk when HE is ready..no apology, no responsibility of his actions. And he acts like nothing ever happened ..business as usual...HELL NO! She's tired of dealing with him. So what does she do?

Can anyone quote scripture to me which refutes the rapture or refutes the non-rapture theory? I don't want evidence to support either theory but rather evidence which refutes the opposite theory.

I am still in a little bit of a quandry on this and am seeking the truth. I have read the scriptures myself but would like a little explanation which could clear my mind.

I have just found a sort of insect on my sister's floor on a peice of food that i have found in my bed before but im sure its not a bed bug. It is hairy and shaped a bit like a bed bug and has small legs like a woodlouse. It is not at all big...about the size of a louse. It is dark brown with a little bit of white on the end...If there are any suggestions to what this is..please answer!!
