Actually, it doesn't mean they are bad teams. It is a difficult conference, the Big Ten, even in a 'down' year. Both Illinois and Wisconsin are bowl elligible, and I'm sure whoever they end up playing in the postseason will take them very seriously. It does, however, mean that like Michigan, OSU is probably out of the hunt for national championship. KU, LSU, Oklahoma and probably Oregon all have to lose (or lose again) for OSU to move back up into contention. Still, a pretty good season for a rebuilding year in Columbus

The top team in the SEC last year, Florida, won the BCS Championship last year 41-14 rather than losing it by that margin.
An SEC powerhouse coming off a big bowl appearance last year (LSU for example) didn't start this year by losing to a I-AA team. LSU beat their non-conference opponents 48-7 (Virginia Tech), 44-0 (Middle Tennessee), 34-9 (Tulane), and I have a feeling they will beat Louisiana Tech. All of these are I-AA teams.
What sounds silly is to compare the Big Ten to the SEC. There is no comparison. The Big 10 is a joke.

I disagree with you on the practise. Jim Tressell is an extremely good coach and recruits nicely. the situation that OSU has is they have not made the bounce into the hot form of school soccer yet. With the addition of T. Pryor, I see them moving extra in the direction of a variety offense. they might desire to get speedier however as a collection, meaning that he needs to recruit extra velocity. OSU's best situation is their out of convention time table. in case you inspect it objectively, the super 10 is down ideal now, and it does not help while they play off weeks against Troy, Youngstown State, Ohio, and Akron. in the event that they performed and beat extra communities that have been ranked larger on the foodstuff chain, it may do extra to enhance their point of intensity on the sphere, and likewise teach that they belong while they win those video games. You tell me, what did their susceptible, non-conf time table do to coach them to play LSU and Florida the final 2 seasons? no longer something. OSU is a collection ideal on the sting of turning into super, even though it is going to take it sluggish for them to teach the corner.

No.
Its just silly to think like that (bad teams)
Each conference has its attributes.....the Big 10 is not as strong as it usually is but that does not mean you can count them out.
I would imagine that most of the posters here are teen and young adults.....by the way the posting are.
I am probably old enough to be your Grma........but I have watched a lot of football and it always changes week to week and year to year. You have to keep your words civil.....they taste better if you have to eat them.

When all the SEC teams lose it is "hard conference play" but when a big 10 team lose a conference game it is overated double standards

Both OSU and Michigan lost to really good teams, that played great games. The illini had 1 penalty and 0 turnovers. If you do that, and are good, you can pretty much beat anyone in the country. They also caused 3 ints from OSU. They are all crying like babies. I think that game meant a lot to them hehe. I was referring to the illini players crying with joy. Good for them, it was a good game, and they deserved it.

Yes, they are, and so is the rest of the Big Ten. They're just all bad, all the way down the line, unless you were really impressed with Penn State's 31-0 win over Temple.

SEC teams are losing to other ranked teams...
mostly anyways.
It doesn't mean the same thing if you lose to an unranked team.
Stop trying to make excuses.
