Hey everyone I really need some good ideas for handmade gifts this year. I don’t want anything overused like bath stuff, candles, or baked goods. I really want to blow people away with these original ideas. I have checked Martha, and other craft sites, but all of that stuff is a little overused. Also I can not knit or crochet so that is out of the question. Please help, best answer will receive lots of points. Thanks!

I am getting so sick of Dog wimping and whining and apologizing like some little baby. Nobody goes around saying MFn nigguh as freely as he did and not be a racist. Michael Richards same thing now i was born at night but not last night. I have been around people long enough to know a racist because i am one and freely admit it. Now i realize that Dog would lose his job if he admitted it and Richards would probably have been black balled but hey Chris Rock uses the word freely and hes made millions doing it Jessie Jackson uses the term Hymie Al Sharpton has insulted white people for a living and makes money doing it. So i ask you isnt this a disgusting double standard?

Seniors, I've been working with my parents and my in-laws trying to plan Thanksgiving and Christmas get togethers. It can be challenging for us to figure out who will be here and who will not be. Some of us live within 30 minutes driving time of each other; and the rest are scattered acrossed the US and around the world.

How about you? Do you all live near each other? How often to you get to see your family and friends who do not live near you?

I have a metal-cutting bandsaw but the blade slips on the wheels. I have tightened the blade and made sure the wheels are grease-free but it still slips so that I have to lift it just as it starts to 'stick'. Then it frees up, get a bit of steam going and cuts a bit more..then stops again. The blade doesn't come off the wheels so the alignment is true. The belt seems tight enough (good high-pitched 'ping' when pinged). Its a low-end of the range item (Clarke, 'Metalworker' 4.5'' bandsaw)) because I don't need it to run all the time and the instruction manually is basically crap. Anyone got some advice??

I have to fill out a request for a background check with the state police for a security job and the form says to only use a typewriter-who has those any more? I called the library and they only have computers to use, should I just neatly print to fill out the form or where else can I find a typewriter to use for 10 minutes?
