It means that you shouldn't criticize people for the same problems that you may also have in your life.

This is an old saying. The retaliation for throwing stones, is to throw stones back. If you live in a "glass" house, the stones can break the glass, causing harm. Same is true if you were to insult someone, they will likely insult you back and you may be more susceptable to isults than they are. The moral is, don't do bad things to others or they may do them to you!

People Who Live In Glass Houses Should Not Throw Stones means ... don't criticize other people when you yourself have faults and weaknesses ... reminds us that we should be careful how we treat other people (with our words and actions) because we can all be easily hurt.
People "throw stones" at other people to try to hurt them, and one way that people try to hurt other people is by saying bad things about them.
If you lived in a "glass house" it would be very easy for other people to hurt you by throwing stones at you.

"People who live in glass houses should not throw stones" reminds us that we should be careful how we treat other people (with our words and actions) because we can all be easily hurt. People "throw stones" at other people to try to hurt them, and one way that people try to hurt other people is by saying bad things about them. If you lived in a "glass house" it would be very easy for other people to hurt you by throwing stones at you. "People who live in glass houses should not throw stones" means that we should not say insulting things to other people because they could easily do the same thing to us. Example: "Look at that shirt you are wearing! Did you buy that back in the '80s?!" Answer: "Hey, you're not so young yourself; people who live in glass houses should not throw stones!" Something made of glass can easily break; it is vulnerable; and we are all vulnerable in different ways. Sometimes we forget our own vulnerability and "throw stones" at other people in the form of criticism. A person might remind us that we too have our own faults and weakenesses by saying "people who live in glass houses should not throw stones". Example: "Look at what time it is... you are late again!" Answer: "Hey, how often are you not on time? People who live in glass houses should not throw stones."

It means don't criticize others for things that you do also.

Don't be a hypocrite.
If you live in a glass house would you go around throwing stones at others or even near your own house and risk breaking all the windows and glass walls?

It's "People in glass houses, shouldn't throw stones." The glass house symbolizes the fragileness (like the glass) and that could be broken. It's symbolic of people who do NOT have a perfect life (who does) and yet they proceed to gossip or put others down. The symbolic meaning of throwing stones too could "break" their home. (figuratively) Basically.....don't put down, gossip or talk bad about your neighbor or anyone. We all have flaws.

When a person throws stones from a glass house, he shatters the walls and brings the house down. So you are digging urself. In other words, please don't be a hypocrite. Have common sense, thatz what it means. :-)

It means the same thing as my favourite saying:

People who live in glass houses, shouldn't flick soggy peas. lol.

It means 'judge not, lest ye be judged yourself'. Don't be hypocritical. Look at yourself before you criticize somebody else.

It means not everyone is perfect. Just because they live
" in a glass house" does not mean they too have fault.
They think they are perfect.
