I have to fill out a request for a background check with the state police for a security job and the form says to only use a typewriter-who has those any more? I called the library and they only have computers to use, should I just neatly print to fill out the form or where else can I find a typewriter to use for 10 minutes?

Go ask your banker. They may have one in a back room. Or perhaps one of the local office type buildings where one of your friends or acquaintances works.
The local Goodwill store may have one that you can buy for a couple of bux.
Look for typewriter repair in your yellow pages. A shop may let you 'test' one of their machines.
Come over to my place, I'll sell you mine for $5. U.S.

Does it actually say to use a typewriter or that it needs to be "typewritten"? This could mean that it cannot be in handwriting but must be written in readable text such as using Notepad on the computer.
