He was top contributor for politics and now he's been suspended. Anyone have a clue what happened? Now there is a big red X over his picture...things feel wrong...

Blueridge, I asked what happened. If anyone is a mental midget it's the one who couldn't answer the question. Get a mirror.

My guess is he was targeted for removal by more than one reporting troll. He received over 30 violation notices in one day and simultaneously received a suspension notice. The red x is his.

In my personal opinion, no disrespect intended, this reminds me of the Kenny Rogers song "The Gambler". Not being savy on the ole computer I can not cut & paste the lyric. However, knowing when to walk away is one line I can say to address your question. Ask Yahoo. These posts are considered chatting and notices have been sent out already.

We checked in and if you check it out... things like solicitation, fraud even this are taboo. Why Survey's and other places are not being looked into is beyond me. How to answer a question without an opinion shall be difficult. Politics is all about that. Atleast in the real world. Thank you.

I've never really known Brian, but even though I disagreed with some of his answers, he answered without insults. I respected that.

I've heard rumors about what happened... something to do with a former top contributor trying to get back on the throne by suspending others with the title currently.

But I'm not sure of if it's true.

Yea...a few have bitten the proverbial dust in the past 72 hours....I have been on here over a year....and have never seen so many top contributors suspended in so short a time....

It cannot be a coincidence....and I hope whomever is responsible...gets a big ole dose of Karma for their juvenile, self-serving antics...

BeachBum claimed that Brian replaced into cheating. in simple terms study her weblog. She additionally claims to have YA! interior guidance which implicates people like Brian. maybe we would desire to continuously attempt the gadget with the aid of attempting to get a perfect contributor suspended. i could be chuffed to volunteer, yet i'm no longer a perfect contributor. I did, regardless of if, get a contravention the day gone by - my first - for asking who the subsequent perfect contributor to be banned may well be. i did no longer even attempt to contest it. for the reason that BeachBum claims to have insider guidance, i contemplate whether she is familiar with who's in charge for putting bars over Brian's avatar? it somewhat is rather in undesirable flavor.

A lot of "fishy" things going on right now. Brian and a few other long term posters were purposely targeted by "trolls" and taken out.
Brian put the X himself to show what is happening is unfair. It seems many are confusing the thumbs down button and the report button. Sad.
Email me if you'd like.

Blueridge: I think you forgot to answer the question.

He and southernlyst were suspended as wll as a few other people, I was at her 360 and she was ok with what had happened and wanted to come back but really was not that concerned,

Brian changed his picture as a protest for being suspended.

I wish I knew, he seemed nice enough. It makes you wonder who is next.

blueridgeliving--what you just did makes the rest of us look bad. I see plenty of our people crying about the same situation. Only mental midgets call others mental midgets. You seem full of hate. This question was neither liberal or republican in nature. Shame on you for spewing hatred.

MANY people are getting suspended. Many of them have gone to multiply and others are going there before we get suspended too. Some are saying it's Beachbum doing it but who knows!

You should direct this question to Y/A staff, not put it here as a question. Since Y/A will not comment on why they suspend ANYONE, any answers you get here will be opinion, not fact, however, I can draw several conclusions.

Brian was a "Top Contibutor" because he added comments to hundreds of Questions, all without ever answering one of them. His comments were all variations of "That's a good question" (Yahoo Answers considers this "Point Gaming") adding comments rather than answers. Agreeing with people regardless of how thickheaded or lamebrained their "questions" were, is just pandering for "Best Answers". I could go to bed at night and Brian would have 2000 Best Answers, then wake up the next morning and he would have 2100 Best Answers. NO ONE can get 100 legitimate Best Answers in Yahoo Answers in 7 hours. It is impossible.
