My landlord stopped by yesterday to check the heating system in the apt. I was not there and did not know he was coming over. He went through the apt checking windows to make sure they were closed. He got to my bedroom door and realized I had put a brand new knob on it that came with a key, and it happened to be locked. He was surprised, seemed insulted, and said that he needed a copy of the key. I realize that it is his property, but as a tenant, don't I have the right to privacy? Shouldn't he have to check w me if he wants to stop by the apt, and also if he needs to go into my bedroom for some reason? I don't think I should have to give him a key. He is too comfprtable with stopping by whenever he feels like it. If he rings the doorbell and doesnt get an answer, he feels free to just come into the apt. I spoke w him about it b/c he walked in on me w company a couple of times. One time he came into my bedroom when I was sleeping. I didnt find out till later when he told me

Ok, everybody knows that if you put grapes in the sun they become raisins right? And if you squish grapes they becomes wine. Well I can buy grapes AND raisins on food stamps. So why can I NOT buy wine? A couple of girls from online are coming for dinner and I wanna buy a bottle of the good stuff ( Boones Farm, or maybe MAd Dog 20/20) and have no cash. I argued with the manager at Piggly WIggly but he refused to give in. Have you any clue how to handle this?

I feel like my partner has completely gone off of me and I don't know what to do about it anymore. I used to get phone calls/emails/messages all the time when he was working telling me how much he loved me, now it's only if he wants me to do something for him. We have an 8 week old daughter, we've had sex once since she was born and before that it was when I was 7.5 months pregnant (his choice not mine) - yet he talks about sex all tthe time, comments on women he'd like to sleep etc with but just isn't interested in me. It's been like this pretty much since I became pregnant. I didn't put on much weight when I was pregnant, and I'm now slimmer than I was before, I make an effort to look nice for him (which isn't reciprocated) and I try to initiate sex but he isn't interested. if he's interested in checking out women in real-life and on tv, what's so wrong with me? Other men find me attractive, but the one I want to doesn't :o( Have tried talking, but he just dismisses it

You just "accepted" Christ is God and that he died for you FIRST, without proof of such a thing.

Then it was only AFTER you did that, you got special abilities to understand the bible to support your new position and beliefs?

I am asking because of answers given by Christians saying you have to accept Jesus FIRST and only then you get to understand the bible and of course, your understanding would be supportive of what you have accepted.

This is very different to how other religions operate. Most require you to fully investigate, spiritually search for the path
of enlightenment and after you do, you need to fully understand all the doctrines etc before you make a committment.

So now my question is, what made you take that blind leap of faith to accept Jesus in the first place?

I am asking just to try to understand where you guys are coming from.

District School Board to divert money to alternative schools to help keep at risk students in school.The province has allocated money for the use of school boards to try keep at risk students in school. Our Premier is not comfortable targeting this money based on race.We have recently had elections and a hot issue then was the proposed issue of faith based funding. The majority of the voters were against it. I think that all students who are at risk of dropping out need access to these funds not just a select group.I'm old enough to have lived through the civil rights movement and remember the struggle ,and the risk, black children endured to attend all white schools.I can't even begin to imagine what it must have been like.This new proposal seems like a new form of segregation to me and a step backwards. We have many diverse cultures in our schools and I'm sure for recent immigrants it is also a struggle ( language and cultural differences) .Schools educate,parents teach values

I am a non-resident, who have worked as a seasonal worker in the USA for 4 months in 2006. By this moment I have not filed for my tax return. I have to get 100% on the tax paid as a refund, because my income is below the taxable income line. Some people tell me that I have missed the deadline and I'll be charged penalties. However, this is what I found in IRS publication 519, p.40:
"If you file for 2006 calendar year, your return is due April 17 2007"
Moreover: "When to file for deductions and credits. To get the benefit of any allowable deductions or credits, you must timely file a true or accurate return. For this purpose, a return is timely if it is filed within 16 months of the due date just discussed".
The due date is Apr. 17th, which means that if I file before Aug 17th 2008 for 2006, my return filing would still be timely.
Is my reasoning correct? The due date is Apr. 17th, so it is 16 months after that date, right?

It seems that Mainstream Media has gone out of their way lately to paint Liberals and Libertarians as being terror sympathizers and aligned with Al-Qaeda.

Liberals and Libertarians do not care about terrorism or the fear propaganda it generates. Liberals and Libertarians care only about America and our Individual Liberties and Freedoms.

Why are the corrupt leaders doing this:
So they can go after people who create dissent against the rising tyranny machine called the New World Order?

So these have reason to strip away the Anti-Bush/Cheney blogs that report on the daily corruption and lies leading us into false wars?

Because Liberals and Libertarians are the only true patriotic forces and voices left in America and they want to silence them and label them as being aligned with terrorists because these people still value the Constitution and our Freedom?

Is it now a crime to uphold The Constitution of the United States? Why the attack on free speech?

At first I hated the whole leggings trend that's going on. But lately I have been itching to get a pair. I want to wear leggings with a tunic top but I am afraid of the fact that I have wide hips and a big booty, I don't want to bring too much attention to it. It seems the girls I usually see wearing this are really petite girls. Would I be able to pull this off?
