I used to prefer Coca Cola. But, that's cuz I grew up on it. My dad would drink like three cans a day, so we would always have it in the house. I tried Pepsi and really liked the taste too. It's pretty much 6 one way, half-dozen the other. I like them both.
Then, I heard about how Coke and Pepsi have a lot of phosphoric acid which, for instance, is the stuff workers use on roads/highways when there's a fatal crash to get blood off the road. The stuff just eats away at everything. Then, I stopped drinking anything with phosphoric acid in it cuz I was thinking about what it might be doing to me internal organs. But then I got realistic and I'll have a Coke now and again and a Pepsi now and again.
My friend just turned me to cherry Coke. I really like that stuff. I don't know if it's been around forever or not, but I think it rules.

Pepsi if I'm eating, or just want a soda.
But if it's going into a mixed alcoholic drink.........it has to be Coca Cola
