How fast would companies be able to move production to other poor countries or reopen our factories here?

If we went to war with China- we peace-loving civilians who are working hard to provide for our nearest and deare4st could kiss our assses gooidbye.
It would be an Apocalypse- near total extinction of humans as it could easily reach the levels of the height of the Cuba missile Crisis and beyond- to the point where nuclear weapons are used offensively and defensively.
Never a good move to go in that direction- haven't we learnt anything from the Cold War?

Well I don't know about your second question. But if we went to war with China, America would go ..BOMB! Down, to the center of the earth. We are so tight with China because of their products that we trade. Like don't you know that "Made in China" that sticker on almost everything you buy is like MADE FROM CHINA! HAHA! It would be a tragidy if we went to war with China. Also for girls, most clothing designers in America are influenced by chinese designs. As well as we'd most likely loose. We may have the best military..but they have an immensley large population!

China cannot afford to have a very costly war with the US, because it is pre occupied in developing its stagnant economy.
In the event of war, China will face first formidable foe like Taiwan, Japan and the Philippines first, before facing the US.
They have very large million army but with very outmoded weaponry and weak arm technology, it is still long way to go before China can catch up militarily.

IF we went to war with China factory production would be the last thing you should worry about......there would be no "other" countries for them to move to.

Regardless, I think they need to reopen the factories here in America and let Americans make their own products..I bet the economy would be in better shape too..More jobs, more money and etc...

We won't go to war with China, the Chinese workers are going to get a belly full of doing donkey work for peanuts and revolt. I'd give it a few years, but just watch when they get riled. Whoohooo. It's ON baby.

By the time we went to war with China, the USA will become Northern Mexico, as the illegal immigrants will control all the votes.
Learn to speak Mexican as soon as possible.

If you mean the u.s by "us", then we'd win, because of the u.s technoligy, and the army traings that they do in the u.s. Although China does have billions of ppl, but that dosn't mean that all of them are trained. and plus why would china go to a war with the u.s? China would suffer. no one else would buy china's crapy stuff.

China and America both have nuclear arsenals capable of anihilating eachother. Production capacity is not the issue it was in WWII.
