there is this guy in school, he is new this year, he is also very quiet and doesn't talk much and he is quite wierd and ugly looking. right before a dance he came up to me when i was with my friends and asked if he can go to the dance with my group so i gave him my number because i didnt want to seem mean well he txted me and i told i had sprained my ankle so he stayed home. he tried calling then later couple of weeks ahead first he asked if i can pose for his photo class (he asked if it was cool with me and my bf and all that) i said no but i said i would love to but im busy. well then he tried calling couple of times but i refuse to pick up. he asked me in school why i didnt and i had to make up with some excuse and now he keeps on doing this!!! how do i get him to go away and leave me alone?!?!?!

If somebody has a 25% chance of a heart attack within the next 10 years, what are the chances of their having such an attack in any given year ? Am I right that the answer = 25/10 = 2.5 ? Or have I made a statistical gaffe ?

Would the probability change as the 10 years progressed ? If someone with a 25% chance in 10 years hasn't had an attack by the 9th year, would they be more at risk in the final year ? I'm inclined to say 'no' but might a different probability apply to a random year from a final year when nothing had happened so far ? Excuse me, please, if the question is statistically ignorant.

Over the past 4 years I have had 8 heart attacks and last week I had open heart surgery(double by pass). I'm broke and cannot work right now, and haven't worked alot over the past 4 years. The Dr said 6 to 8 weeks for most people. I have 2 children to take care of - 10 and 11 - I've gone to my church for help, they gave me 500.00 towards paying the 1100.00 I owe for rent, thank God, which was a big help, were do I go from here????? I don't understand why everyone believes what they hear or see on the PETA website. I used to be a supporter of them, and I do believe that they do good for the world. However, I have now noticed how very one-sided their "investigations" truly are. I watched a video of them "investigating" a Pet Store chain that I work for. All they did was slam the company as if EVERY store had the same problems as the one in the video. I found it to be wrong, and very insulting, as our chain is known to be one of the most kind to animals. In our store, the "sick" room has about 7-10 animals at any given time. They said HUNDREDS. We don't even have room enough in the sick room for that many animals!

I just want to know why PETA feels like they can't show the other side of the story.. And why so many people blindly support them when there is so much missing from their information.

I love my mom (not my step-dad because he's a pedophile), but the truth is is that I have so much unhidden anger towards both of them.My parents would give me guilt trips and make me feel like I was a bad girl, so I would hide my anger and try to give them leeway. I would say"Oh they're not so bad, at least they're doing what's best for me." I was even praising my pedo step-dad because my mom brainwashed me to treat him as a "life saver." But I'm sick of it!
