i think because they might get addicted to the feeling of being drunk and they will not study anymore and they will use their allowance to buy alcohol and if ever they continue studying, if they are curious they might drink rubbing alcohol. and might do something stupid like drunk driving and they might throw up in the playpen/playground and cost a mess

Drinking a little is very very good for health. But,But when one is underaged, even few cups of drink could be highly concentrated to his/her immatured organs and this can cause bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract and also causefatal lever problems.
One should only use alcoholic drink up to the limit one's body can restrain. And you should not be too late to figure out the limit point!

its only illegal because your bodies cant digest it. your body can't handle the amount of alcohol that a 21-yr old can. and 21 yrs is when your body is pretty much fully mature. so someone that was 15 drank about 3 beers, and someone over 21 drank 3 beers, it would have a totally different effect on each person. because the person over 21 is mature and their body can process the alcohol better and faster. a young kids liver wouldnt handle it as good.

It can hurt your still growing organs, tissues, bones, etc. And you are more likely to become addicted if you start drinking under the age of 16 than if you wait till later.

Because your brain needs to be able to learn. Like how to spell and use good english. If you drink you will pickle it before it has the chance to learn these things... Then you grow to be a very stupid adult!

Speaking as an under age person, it's because you're not responsible enough to say when enough is enough even thought some adults aren't either, it's a law.

Society tries to wait for maturation and perspective so people can use good judgment in their drinking beyond a "good taste"..

Because they are not responsible enough to handle the sometimes bad consequences. However, adults can be just as irresponsible.
