Dark matter has been blamed for the irregular clumping and filamenting of huge numbers of galaxies. I don't see it. If the Universe expanded and then became asymmetrical, the condensing would continue toward centers of gravity, and not necessarily uniformly on a cosmic scale. If dark matter was 95% of the mass of the Universe, then this would explain NON-clumping and the *absence* of filaments. And if such matter exists and it interacts gravitationally, wouldn't there be gravitational centers where it constitutes the majority of the mass, like in giant stars? Yet we don't see any unexplained mass there. How can this stuff be 95% of the Universe and essentially 0% of stars?

would you help her and her child if somehow you were at the spot where both were slowly,painfully dieing of thirst and fever, knowing that if you helped an illegal person trying to cross the US border, you would be helping a CRIMINAL? or would you do nothing and let the CRIMINALS die? to make it worse, there's no border patrol around and you don't have a cellphone or anyway of contacting help, and you happen to be holding bread and a gallon of water. just put your racist self in that situation and answer.

My fiance has been having major problems with his back. He has had increased lower back pain since he has joined the Army. Well, he went in for X-rays of his back and previously, what they thought was an extra vertibrae, turned out to be a calcium build up. That's not all, they took a side view X-Ray and it showed that he has no lumbar curvature in his spine at all! What normal people have is a slightly curved spine when looking at a side view, his is as flat as a carpender's dream. He wants to know if there is a medical term for this condition, what the risks are, and what the possible (if any) fixes are. He has never had any back surgery. Somebody please help!

My husband does not support me often when dealing with our sons who are 17 & 18. He actually feels that they have equal rights when a situation occurs. If they stay out all night he won't tell them to knock it off. If I do, they just ignore me. This is just one example. I feel he has undermined my authority and they don't have respect for me. I believe while they live here they are accountable to us. It seems he wants to be their friend which I disagree with. His father died when he was 14 so he was deprived of his father early. I think that may be why he doesn't "parent" them at times. If I feel strongly about certain issues, shouldn't he back me? I'm not trying to control them, but I feel that it is a matter of respect for them to behave in an appropriate manner while they live here. Not come home drunk, (has happened a couple of times), not blow me off when I ask them to do a chore, that type of thing. Am I wrong to be angry at my husband?

My '03 Dodge Grand Caravan (v-6) has developed an intemittent loud humming sound, mostly as I turn. It sounds like it's coming from the drivers' side front or even the steering column.

The mechanic found nothing visable. The cv joints "look" fine.

Any ideas I can bring to the mechanic to check for?
