It needs more binder. Add another egg to the mixture, and a few more bread crumbs. And don't choose ground beef that's tooooo lean. The fat helps bind it together.

Hmm depends on the recipe, the eggs usually hold it together. Also you have to use the good lean meat for meatloaf, and either use a meatloaf pan, or make sure to drain the grease ALOT!

You probably don' have enough of a binder in it...eggs and breadcrumbs work wonders.

You didn't put enough eggs in it.....eggs hold it together
