we've all asked what's the point of our lives, but have you ever considered what the point is of every other person's life? why are they (we) there? and does it matter if it's got nothing to do with your (my) purpose?

To support your life, of course.

Of course, what IS the point of others? I mean, it's all about me right? ;p

Nah, more serious, I think everyone is born with a piece of the puzzle...in the broadest possible terms, our purpose in life is to figure out where our puzzle piece goes, and to put it there. IN the mean time, we teach each other things, and we need each other every now and then. Part of growing wise is that it isn't all the about the needs of the self...so sometimes you have to look around and see who might need YOU for some reason. In being different and separate we can accomplish more in the world.

When I see so much suffering in the world, so many lives snuffed out prematurely, so much cruelty to other human beings in the name of religion, race, God, country, political persuasion etc., I wonder what is the point? Personally I have been fortunate to live in 2 countries(USA and Australia) that have escaped much of the suffering in the world. My purpose, I suppose, is to be a good person, treating others by the golden rule, but I don't think it's to save the world.

The point of other people's lives is their own, and something that we were not meant to know. And if we do know it, its something we cannot change. Maybe everyone's point in life is simply to live, and to be, and to breathe. To take what we've got and show the world who we are, whatever we are, and we are all different, so maybe we all have different points in life.

Not many people ask this kind of questions and not many people would want to think about it. I don't think it matters with my purpose of anything. I don't really care much about anyone's point of view in their lives.

Well, I believe we are connected somehow? We all live
here and our lives; each person was born to be with God!
It is his earth and world and he created it! He is Almighty
God! His desire is for all people to worship him first and for
most. But God loves us so much he gave us family and
friends! Oh and our animals! So I'm not speaking for others.
I just know what my Bible says! Thanks, great question!

why does there have to be a point? maybe we're just amoebas bumping into each other as we spin around the universe.
