What year did Greece become a great civilization?

Well 1st things 1st
I have a heavier well built CN DSLR (not consumer grade) & some zooms & tele converters & extension tubes.
Whatever I buy will have to be tough enough.
I've been looking & browsing at the auctions & the internet.
I'm very suspicious of the quality & decided not to buy fake brands.
I would prefer a metal ball made of steel VS aluminum or plastic.
I'm not 100% sure I want a well known brand name with a phenolic ball. It sounds a like special plastic that my bowling balls is made of.
Also someone reviewed & tore apart a $120 less priced, yet popular name brand making look alikes & proved it was total junk showing photos as proof.
Some popular auction merchants don't even offer or imply a warranty.

Why do Christians feel that they need to convert everyone? Is there a points system to get a better seat in heaven or something? I will defend everyone's right to believe anything that doesn't hurt anyone else, regardless if my beliefs are the same. What is wrong with live and let live?

"What a terrible thing to say!"

Yes, I know. It would be a terrible thing. But aside from the moral humanity factor, would an epidemic really be bad for human history?

It seems many of modern humanity's problems are due to overpopulation. Too many people and not enough resources. Too much waste and not enough conservation, etc.

If there were less humans, we would be cutting down less of the rainforest, using less oil, slaughtering less dolphins, burning less fossil fuels, etc.

Yet, we would retain many of our advances in civilization because of the wealth of information contained in video, books, and the internet. And hey, shorter lines at the grocery store!

Of course, humans are also greedy and power shifts could occur, governments could collapse, and wars could break out.

So, moral humanity aside, do you think an epidemic at this point in human history would be good for our progression of civilization? Or would it just make things worse?

Hello,

Well, I went to the optometrist a few weeks ago and I got 20/20 in my left eye, 20/25~ in the right(I wasn't feeling to well that day and was tired, so that may be the reason for that - the year before I had 20/20 in both). I understand the naval aviator requirement is 20/20 in both; but is that corrected or uncorrected, and how could this effect me? If I needed to be corrected to 20/20 in the right eye, will that disqualify me?

My 5 week old son has been diagnosed with infant reflux and milk/soy protein allergy by his doctor. He is on nutramigen Formula and Zantac 3 times a day.. the crying and hurting has improved but he is still spitting up ALOT... Iv heard that as long as he is gaining weight and he is not in pain then the throwing up really isnt a problem... BUT it also comes out of his nose and THAT scares me because im scared he is sucking it back into his longs and im scared he will get breathing problems.. Should i worry, or is that not really a problem?

If a person does not believe in God, why do they feel the need to convice others that there is no God. At least believers are trying to spread hope to others by shareing faith. What are non belivers trying to do?

We've just moved into a mobile home, and its 80 ft long, my daughters bed room is on one end and ours is on the other. She is used to waking up walking to me and getting in our bed... but the way we are layed out in the house now, i dont even think i would hear her wake up...and not to mention thinking of her waking up and trying to maneuver through the house half asleep (shes 20 months old).

So i've decided the best bet would be putting a baby gate in her door way or maybe the end of the hall... and using a baby monitor to hear her....

Which monitors have you had a good experience with with a long distance range? thanks
