I think you have that mixed up. Christians are forcing their beliefs on atheists, not the other way around.

Nonbelievers do not yet have faith, and while some wisely choose to let the jury be "out" on the matter, saying they simply do not have enough information to make the call either way (agnostics), atheists have a challenging mood and actively believe that there is no God, even though one cannot prove a negative. They do not understand that such a challenging mood automatically disqualifies them from knowing, or even beginning to know God, since God cannot be understood by empirical knowledge.
Such people often, but not always, worship at the altar of science, ascribing to the basic belief that if it can't be proven in a lab with a double-blind repeatable placebo experiment, it's not true. They do not understand that there are things that are simply beyond the purview of their senses.
Many "nonbelievers" actually have good intentions. They see all the atrocities that humans have committed against each other in the name of God, and throw the baby out with the bathwater thinking that the eradication of all "God" conceptions will prevent further atrocities. They may be right to some degree, but since the realization of God is the purpose of life, such eradication would make life completely pointless.

I cant' speak for all non believers be they from different religions or Aethiests. However of the thousands of muslims, Buddhists, Hindu's, Taoists, Christians, Animists, Pagans and Aethiests that I've spoken with over the years there are some things that can be generalised about non Christians and their general attitudes.
By far and away the most common response is that they have no problem with Christians and their beliefs, prodived they keep it to themselves and don't go prostylizing and pi$$ing off others with their harping on about how theirs is the only true god and trying to change the world to believe in their ways.
As for the "non believers" fighting back .. in the USA and western nations there's two reasons, partly because Church going Christians are no longer the majority of society and thus shouldn't be accorded the input they have previously had and secondly due to the rise of pseudo-science such as Intelligent Design (Creationalism by a new name) and outright fraud such as the rapture, which has no basis in mainstream church theology. It has largely become a battle between people who want the right to think for themselves and those who wish to control thought (certain Christian groups).
In the developing world many Born Again Christian missionaries are accepted but not actually liked by the people they are attempting to conver, in many cases the missionaries come as part of a US government condition for aid. Perhaps one day the prostylizing Christians will understand that different people have different ways to salvation or whatever they believe in.

This is the same as asking why believers think it is important to convince others that there is a God, and they know which God is the real one.
Believers say they want to 'spread hope', well, I suppose non-believers want to spread rationality, logic, and peace (seriously, religion is the cause of so much bloodshed and war and chaos and horror.)
Because some people simply think they are right and if they are right, someone who believes something else must be wrong. And if they are wrong, they must be corrected.
It's a very arrogant viewpoint, whether you're a believer or an unbeliever.

If a person does believe in God, why do they feel the need to convice others that there is a God. At least non-believers are trying to spread hope to others by shareing intelligence . What are belivers trying to do? Spread spelling errors?

The follower of every prophet should be perturbed when he may come to know that somebody is unaware of his creator, benefactor, caring and loving God from Whome any human being can get all he requirements fulfilled.Prophets when they come or their true followers propogate this message of hope but if they do not do it they are not doing justice to their God, prophets and themselves. There is only one community in the world which is propogating this message of hope in 148 countries of the world with their own money and resources, against all odds, opposition, atrocities and oppression. Please read Reason, Rationality, Knowledge and Revelation by Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmed Sahib, Head of Ahmeddiyya Community in Islam, London Mosque, 16 Gressenhal Road, London Mosque, SW 18 5QL, UK.

I often wondered that. Whats odd is they act like the born again believers are just weird, and we only believe God exists because someone told us to. And they want to send you to website, or read a book about science. Like none of us know anything about science. That's what makes me laugh. And why would we want to drop a relationship with our creator for nothing?

The same reason why people of a faith try to convert others, to either irritate them or lead them to what they believe is right.

make people wake and realize that religion is dividing this world and creating hate. True religious people forget logic and common sense and our brainwashed to believing non sense. One day when we as humans decide to join together and stop being divided the world will be a peaceful place

we are trying to get people to think- not just follow others like sheep. We use reason to run our lives, to make better decisions, to treat others fairly, and to live our lives as best as we can. We can not stand the preaching of the those who think they know all the answers because their bible told them so. Get your head out of the book and look around see real life. See the truth, not the lies and stories..

If a person believes in God, why do they feel the need to convince others that there is a god? If your god isn't a liar, then he already says that his truth is written on our hearts. You have no need to keep shoving in our face your "truth" when we've already told you that we don't wish to hear it.
If I ever ask you, please, PLEASE tell me. But if I tell you to keep it to yourself, why won't you listen?
The Christian message is not typically one of hope. It is "Believe what I say, even though I can offer you not one whit of evidence that it is true, or my loving, all kind God will be compelled to torture in burning flames for the rest of eternity." That is not a message of hope, but one of acceptance under duress.
Please, show me the flaw in my argument.
