It seems to me that they are. That's why they hate and demonize so many other beliefs. They can't live and let live. They never have been able to. If they didn't have that close-minded "If you're not with us then you're against us" attitude, things would probably be different.

As a Christian I would like to say that religion does not play a part in my life, a relationship does... mine with Christ. I am not insecure at all about that or any part of my life as I live as a Christian. When I meet someone I do not say Hello my name is.... I am A CHRISTIAN, are you? Well if you are not let's get out the Bible & make certain you are a Christian before the sun sets tonight! Am I concerned for people? Yes. Do I help others when I am given the opportunity? Yes. Do I try to CRAM what I believe & have come to know over the past 25 years (as a Christian), into someones life? NO. I realize that what I believe is by my choice & it cannot be proven by me or touched by others, but just like the wind that blows... it is REAL in my life.

Actually I do not believe in religion. I believe in a relationship and I do not try to convert everyone I see. I wish other Christians (not all and I am not pointing anyone out that already answered) would build a relation with people so that people would ask about what is so different instead of running because they are getting hit in the head with a bunch of preachy "you going to hell, the devils gotchya" message. I agree about living but I love when people ask me why I do what I do.... And I love talking about "religion" because when others bring it up then I do not get yelled at for getting Gospel on everyone...LOL

Id have to go with some are and some are not. Those that are out there really trying hard to convert people even if the person they are trying to convert says no thank you. Id say those are some insecure people. Whats wrong with leaving people alone to believe what they want?

You are talking too, right! Then when Paul says, " I believe therefore I speak " that pretty much says what you are doing too.
You believe in something and you speak about it -- or so it seems to me.
Christians speak about their faith for the simple reason that it would be unloving not to try to save those that are condemned to death.
If you saw your neighbor get ready to drive his car out of his driveway and you -- mechanically expert you are -- saw that his car had a problem that could most likely lead to the death of either the neighbor or someone else -- wouldn't it be an obligation for you to try to tell him and stop him by warning him verbally?
That is what Christians have been told to do by Christ himself.
Thus as you do here, speak, we also speak. Yes, we live and let live. You have the right to say no. We don't come with weapons and force you to do anything.

I am not insecure at all about what I believe nor in whom I believe. We are commanded by Jesus to share him with whoever wants to hear it.
Some people have not come to the realization that you can't push a rope. Meaning unless someone wants to know what you believe and why, you can't effectively force it on them.
If you want to know anything about what I believe I will be happy to tell you. I think that is the reason I come here. I hope that someone may actually be seeking the peace that I have found. If they are, I can show them how to have it for themselves.
Have a great night.

Once you get the news, and the Holy Spirit is residing in you, you really just want that other person to experience the joy you have found! There are no brownie points in Christianity. God knows our hearts, if we were going out trying to "save souls" for points, He would know. We just want others to know what we have. BTW: when I share I dont try to convert and I know many who are the same. Sharing our experience isnt always some sort of conversion tactic. Gods peace to you :)

It may sound like a good idea what you are saying but that is exactly what the devil would like to happen. But God sent His on to die for all so we need to let everyone know of God's plan of Salvation for our souls. if you knew something that others did not know and you knew there was enough of it I am sure you would tell your family or friends or those close to you and so it is with Christians once we experience the Love Of God we want everyone to know about it and so no one will have to go to eternal death.

I don't feel like that for God will give us the same seat in the heaven...nobody will sit in the right hand or left hand of my DAD, including me...
I agree wth you to let them choose the way they believe...
I really insecure...and i never try to convert anyone...And no wrong with that...
Keep on fire for God never ask us to do it, He just want us to tell them about HIM, not to influence them...

Jesus asked his followers to teach all nations, not to convert everyone.
The rest can be answer by one word belief. There is no rational for belief.
Answer: Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one can get towards God except through Jesus. This is the Christian security.
