I want my kids to learn about life from an agnostic point of view - the topic of death for example: I don't want their heads being filled with nonsense of an afterlife (ie. heaven, angels, nirvana...).

Any suggestions of childrens stories that tell about the natural cycles of life and death?

thanks

I got writing tattood on my wrist 15days ago but there's a very faint outline around the lettering. The scabbing has gone, although it's not as smooth as the rest of my skin yet.
You have to look very very closely to notice it but wondered if it will go eventually as I think it would make the lettering look a bit more defined.

I am torn as to whether to take my puppy to the vet. I am extremely low on funds (college student) and a typical visit to the vet here costs at least $100. I have looked up low cost options, but the only things offered are vaccine clinics.

Anyway, my puppy has repeated itching with his hind legs. I found a few fleas on him about a week ago, but there are no signs of them left (he had a capstar flea treatment, and I cleaned the whole house). He also has a cough. However, he has had this since the day I got him. When I took him for his first vet visit a month ago, the vet told me that the "cough was on its way out" and there is nothing to do for it. The vet also gave him the bordatella vaccine. This cough seems to get MUCH worse when my puppy is laying down, such as last night when he was in his crate. He was asleep, I came into the room and he woke up, coughing horribly. This only lasts <5 seconds, but it is intense. Vet or no? Should I wait and see if these symptoms get better?

I John 1:5: "God is light, and in him is no darkness at all . . . If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another."
But:
Then spake Solomon, the Lord said that he would dwell in the thick darkness." (I Kings 8:12. Repeated in II Chronicles 6:1) "And he made darkness pavilions round about him, dark waters, and thick clouds of the skies." (II Samuel 22:12) "He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies." (Psalm 18:11) "The Lord reigneth; let the earth rejoice . . . clouds and darkness are round about him." (Psalm 97:1-2)
So is he god of light or what? And if he is but he lives in the dark, surely he illuminates only himself.

In other words, we think a lot of things to be true... some of them we claim to be our beliefs and some other things we claim to be our knowledge.... how do we make out the difference between what we know and what we believe?

I've seen many times some saying "Turks are the best" and receiving noticeable support.I've got some questions:
1)Do you really think so?
2)Is there anything called "good" or "bad" nation?
3)If yes, have you compared Turks with ALL other nations of the world?
4)If yes, what aspects have you took for comparison?
5)How much time and effort have you spent for it?
6)So, can we have a list of nations sorted from best to worst and as a encourage of your work, we can give it to UN to sort the different flags in that order from top to down. (?)

Besides, 10 points + possible thumbs-up for the one can answer questions reasonably and move to the next...
Good Luck!

I have noticed that when I arrive in an airport in another EU country besides the UK there is just this guy there stamping passports, not even really bothering to do anything other than stamp them.

But when arriving in an airport in the UK they interrogat the hell out of me, and run my passport through a computer .

I dont know why this makes me nervous, but I just feel like i am guilty of something for wanting to come to the UK for some reason!

What is your knowledge or opinions on this ??

Thanks for your answers!
