I got writing tattood on my wrist 15days ago but there's a very faint outline around the lettering. The scabbing has gone, although it's not as smooth as the rest of my skin yet.
You have to look very very closely to notice it but wondered if it will go eventually as I think it would make the lettering look a bit more defined.

I know how to look after it. I have a celtic piece round my back and hips and one on my shoulder and ankle. I've never been able to look at these tattoos as close as the one on my wrist, that's why I wondered.

Just over 2 weeks isnt very long the tattoo isnt done healing yet, the wrist is a senstive area and can take up to 6 weeks to heal. It will smooth out over time.
The faint outline is one of two things .. shading and if the artist didnt shade around the letters then its possibly a blown line or lines.
Without seeing it cant really determine which one but I would make a trip back to the place it was done and ask them!

Good luck!

that shadow occurs when the artist doesn't do it correctly, it actually sort of bleeds over the lines and does not go away. You can have the tattoo re done by a better artist who can make the letters etc a little larger and cover the shadows. It sucks that so called artists, can represent themselves as really experienced, but then turn out sub standard work, that is a permanent part of your body.

I'm sure your tattoo parlor told you to keep it out of sunlight if you don't want it to fade, right?

And they told you to put Neosporin on it every day for two weeks, right?

How it is going to look isn't something you can really do much about at this point, but I hope it turns out the way you want.
