I've seen many times some saying "Turks are the best" and receiving noticeable support.I've got some questions:
1)Do you really think so?
2)Is there anything called "good" or "bad" nation?
3)If yes, have you compared Turks with ALL other nations of the world?
4)If yes, what aspects have you took for comparison?
5)How much time and effort have you spent for it?
6)So, can we have a list of nations sorted from best to worst and as a encourage of your work, we can give it to UN to sort the different flags in that order from top to down. (?)

Besides, 10 points + possible thumbs-up for the one can answer questions reasonably and move to the next...
Good Luck!

I think those who feel their country is the best have accepted and tolerated what ever goes on in their Governments and truly feel their country has achieved all its goals.

I think Turkey has no civil rights especially for women. I believe their laws against freedom of speech are unacceptable, but I do not live there either.

The people who live in Turkey are not prisoners and can leave if they choose to. It is obvious that they feel that not
having these rights have not detoured them from feeling Turkey is the best and have come to the realization Turkey may never have these rights.

So in reality what they are saying is it is the best it can only ever be.

1. I dated a Turkish man and have known Turks. They are very nice, warm and loving people ! I do love their culture and they are generally good looking ! The men I have known that were Turkish we very spitirtual (in a good way), very intelligent, and romantic. I know you cannot generlalize, but I'm just telling you from my experiences.
2. No I don't think there really is a "good" or "bad" nation. Unless you mean in terms of poverty and government. Everyone is equal. We're all gods creation, all human !
3 & 4. Well, I have noticed that for Turks being Muslim they are not at all pushy or radical. Many people have a prejudice towards Muslims and I do not know why. Many Muslims are very respectful of other religions and are balanced people.
5. Not really too much.
6. Well, I'm not sure about that. Turkey is a very beautiful country and the majority of the people seem to be respectful citizens but I don't think we should really rank the nations.

Hope I helped :) I didn't really get some of your questions !

Best in what? This is so hypothetical. The Lord above did not create good or bad nations. I never saw anyone saying his/her nation is the best. That is why I am against the 'permanent' membership of the UN Security Council. What makes those 5 countries 'better' or 'higher' than the others that they have the right to veto and others do not.
There are good or bad individuals in every nation, community, religion etc. It is so wrong and unhumanistic to label any nation as such. But since I started frequenting Turkey section here, I have been observing certain individuals who are trying to label Turkish people as bad. As a man who travels extensively, I cannot agree nor accept that kind of labeling.
This world is so small, and human life so short, it really isn't worth fighting each other. We need to overcome our prejudices and biases and see each other as equal.

Dear Vahe,
I am sorry I am not going by order...lol

I have seen the opposite phrase, “Turks are the worst in the whole world”, well I can't blame its people, they are brain washed by their government and the strong ones who got away from being brain washed talk about the truth, about the stolen culture of other countries, about the invaded lands of other countries, about if they would have stayed in turkey they would get either burned or jailed or just disappear., they are confused, muslims, secular?, “Democrats” extremes…etc. what can I say?
Why do you think it takes forever to get in EU?

I am sure the phrase you saw was in turkish sites and written by turks not everywhere. (Another brain washed things, its useless to help them all now)....but some say it is possible.

A rather absurd and chauvinistic question. People are good, bad, better, best , worse and worst as individuals and not as members of any ethnic group.

Of course there's not anything like good or bad nation. And it's funny you take this as serious and ask a question about it.

Of course people of any nation may have such drives to call themselves as the best. You can go and praise your own nation the same way. I wouldn't go and tell you you're wrong although I believe no nation is superior or inferior to the other. It's your opinion and you're entitled to it.

So simple.

Vahe,

We are not the best nor the worst. Actually that is " sports talk " for me; rather ridiculous actually. There are over 70 million people in Turkey and a lot all over the world and nobody should say that their nation is flawless since there is no such thing.

Generalization leads to racism and I am not a supporter of it. Although I would defend my nation and my country for and false accusations and blames, it doesn't mean that I don't know our down sides as well as ups.

Like every nation we have our good parts and bad parts.
There is no nation better than other or the best or whatever.
This is just like when you say "the football team i support" is the best.
The only thing i can not support is false accusations. And people critising other people without knowing anything about them.
