On their anniversary night, the husband sat his wife sat down in the den with her favorite magazine, turned on the soft reading lamp, slipped off her shoes, patted and propped her feet and announced that he was preparing dinner all by himself.

"How romantic!" she thought.

Two-and-a-half hours later, she was still waiting for dinner to be served. She tiptoed to the kitchen and found it in a colossal mess.

Her harried husband, removing something indescribable from the smoking oven, saw her in the doorway. "Almost ready!" he vowed. "Sorry it took me so long -- I had to refill the pepper shaker."

"Why, honey, how long could that have taken you?"

"More'n an hour, I reckon. Wasn't easy stuffin' it through those dumb little holes."

my 34 yo step daughter is getting a divorce and moved into our house pending her final decree.
she has had lousy credit, 2 bankruptcies, and her previous job required her to have a checking acount to deposit her paycheck; her soon to be ex had an account that she previously used but did not have her name on the account. my husband was able to have his bank open an account for her, but as of today after 2 months she has managed to bounce at least a dozen purchases from what appears to be from her debit card; the fees are now at 36.50 apiece; most of the purchases were from $10 to $25, so the fee makes it even more stupid.
1;at what point would the bank shut down her account?
2; other than taking off the over-draft on her account, what can we do?
3; i have read that credit "help" agencies are no good or charge exorbitant fees; if not, please suggest any that you might recommend.
4; or, possible either her father, mother or myself be put on her account so we can oversee?

And maybe the more important question is Why does Answers allow them to hide them.
It seems to me if a person is asking honest questions and giving honest, helpful answers they would not want to hide them. I get a lot of useful information looking back at someones answers when I see that they give some good advice on a question. When I see Q&A's hidden, I start to doubting anything they say. Yahoo Answers allowing people to hide their Q&A's seems to go against everything that they stand for, which is to provide people with a forum to get good honest helpful answers. I realize that there are some people on here for other reasons. Providing a hiding place for them seems to encourage these people. If I am missing the point here, someone clue me in.
I am asking this in Agriculture because these are my people and the one's I'm interested in hearing from.

where the majority of voters believed in Xenu's Galactic Confederacy, there were several court cases to decide whether Dianetics should be taught in public schools, people bombed psychiatric offices, and it was illegal for women to scream during birth...

Even though you didn't believe in Xenu, would you find yourself debating Scientologists?

I asked this question a little earlier, but didn't realize I put it in the FAMILY section. Sorry....

I'm getting married next year and the only thing that I am stressing about is the "Father/Daughter" dance. I haven't seen my father is over 10 years and don't plan on ever seeing him again. My question is, for the Father/Daughter dance, what do I do? I have talked to my fiance about this and he says to ask his father if he would dance with me. The only thing about this is that I feel it would be stepping on his sister's toes. That is her father and not mine. I don't have any other male figure in my life. Any suggestions???
