It all ready is.

should it be one country with free movement of people as well like Europe, I am not sure.

For myself it would be fun to work and live anywhere although for political reasons if one country has much more power than the other t means that the other countries must adopt every policy and culture. Even if faulty.

There is no dout that the western hemisphere together would be number one in possibly all respects and capable of anything.

In theory a large free trade area would be a good idea, however, there are a number of reasons why this wouldn't work in practice. Many large companies would re-locate from countries that had good labour relations, employee rights, health and safety laws etc. to countries with less rights for employees but cheaper wages. If this happened there would be more pressure on governments in countries such as the Canada and the US to relax labour laws if they didn't want to lose jobs to lower cost economies. Until all the countries in the trade zone have similar laws and rights this would have a negative impact on workers

If you say yes and you have ever complained about things not being made here anymore, or have complained about outsourcing, etc. etc. please put on your inadvertent hypocrite hat. Free trade means that everything gets made in that location that has a competitive advantage. Everywhere else in this hemisphere has a huge labor cost advantage over the US. I'm not saying this is necessarily wrong but it requires a much greater analysis than any I have seen to date.

No, than you'd see industry move with alarming speed to South America where they can pay employees practically nothing, adn than ship it to other markets. If you want to force the bulk of the Western hemisphere's populace to live on the current poverty line and below, than yes its a good idea.

It's a good idea but many Latin American countries hate the USA because of collusion with right wing dictators for years and for sleazy business exploiters. They have traditionally preferred better relations with Europe and more recently with China and Japan.

The entire world should practice free trade. Taxes and tariffs benefit no one.
