This is old news to those in the know but here is a recent article covering the widespread death caused by the Catholic belief that using condons is wrong.

This is a perfect example of how bad beliefs can cause horrible consequences. It is also a perfect example of how so so-called "moral beliefs" can actually be horribly immoral, causing extreme suffering rather than doing good.

Here are the 9 core beliefs of Satanism represents:

-Indulgence, not abstinence.
-Vital existence, not spiritual pipe dreams.
-Undefiled wisdom, not hypocritical self-deceit.
-Kindness to those deserving of it, not love wasted on ingrates.
-Vengeance, not turning the other cheek.
-Responsibility to the responsible, instead of concern for psychic vampires.
-Man as just another animal - the most vicious of all.
-Gratification of all ones desires.
-The best friend that the Christian Church has had as he has kept it in business for centuries.

Here are the sins under Satanism:
Stupidity
Pretentiousness
Solipsism
Self-deceit
Herd conformity
Lack of perspective
Forgetfulness of past orthodoxies
Counterproductive pride
Lack of aesthetics

At the very least, an interesting religion.

1) -8 - 3 x 7 - 4 / -2(-3 - 7 ÷ (-6 + 2))

I got -33/2.5 according to my TI-83.

2) -6√x + 1 - 4y^2 when x = 24 and y = -1

I got -5.

Me and my girlfriend have been together for the last 2 1/2 years. Granted our relationship hasn't been perfect and I fault myself way more than I fault her. Well last week she decided to end it and just be friends. I'm totally crushed, I don't want to eat anything I'm having trouble sleeping and this is all I can think about. However, she is still spending some time with me or will still talk to me on the phone, for instance tonight were suppose to walk the lake, Friday we'll have lunch, and Saturday I'm going to a wedding with her, and she's going to a game with me. She says she has no interest in me and her right now, and were just going to be friends. If she only wanted to be just friends would she be spending this much time with me right now or even though she denys it, is she giving me the opportunity to show her I do still care about her, and that I want this to work. I really want me and her to get back together, but I just can't tell from these mixed signs what she wants.

I was reading the bible last night and one thing was nagging at me.. Where did all these other people come from when the world started with just Adam and Eve? After Cain and Able, Cain married and had a family. His brother (Seth I think it was) found a wife and they had a family.. where did all these new people come from? Also, how were people in the first book of the bible live for 600 years?

The health savings account, or HSA, was created recently by federal legislation. An HSA lets you set aside pre-tax dollars for future medical, retirement, or long-term care premium expenses. Invest these funds as you wish within a broad range of choices, then use them for qualified expenses. The funds can roll over from year to year. You take them with you when you change jobs.

High-Deductible Requirements
To open an HSA, you must be enrolled in a qualified high-deductible health plan, as defined by the US Treasury. For 2007, the minimum annual deductibles are $1,100 for a self-only plan the maximum is $5,250 There is no minimum annual contribution limit, although most financial institutions will require a minimum deposit to create your account.
For 2007, the maximum contribution amount is $2,850 for single coverage.
It seems one would have to pay $1100-5250 til they could dip into the HSA. If one is living pay check to pay check are they going to be able to afford this plan?
