Peanut butter on one slice, jelly on the other. Put the PB slice onto the jelly slice. Flip it over on the plate so that jelly is now on top. Cross cut, diagnal, corner to corner. This is according to the Official PBJ Handbook.

The jelly because I would rather get a lil jelly from the knife into the peanut butter jar than the other way around.

The Jif creamy. Some (not thick) on each piece of bread and then I spoon a bit of jelly (grape as well) and smooth it out. I don't like a lot of jelly either and I never EVER stick the knife with peanut butter on it into the jelly jar. Grosses me out.

The peanut butter. I have a phobia about peanut butter getting in the jelly jar and vice versa so I use squeezable jelly.

well the peanut butter first because if you put the jelly on first the peanut butter is hard to spread ontop of the jelly. but then again you could do peanut butter on one of the pieces and then jelly on the other and then squish them together and then it wouldn't matter.
