I am planning to dye my hair red but I just want to check a few things first. I would be dying it for the first time and I'm 16 years old. My hair color is a light brown and I want to dye it a little bit lighter than maroon. Will my hair be really damaged? Is there anything I can do to prevent damage? How can I keep it healthy after I dye it? Please let me know everything I should know before I go do it. Thanks.

I mean you got the New England Patroits at 7-0, Boston College at 7-0 and ranked #2 in the BCS, the Boston Red Sox in the World Series, great promises with the Boston Celtics because of newly acquired Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen, and the Boston Bruins doing well so far in the early ice season.

I'm not a Boston Fan but it must be great to be one right now.

I don't know why this happens. I can sit through a class lecture and learn only a few things in the beginning but eventually my mind drifts off and becomes oblivious to the rest of the material.

However, when I record my class lectures and go back to listen to them later on my computer I am MUCH more alert and am able to absorb some 90% of the material and am able to understand thing with greater ease.

This is really frustrating because I don't always have enough time in the day to go home and sit through 2 long lectures every time.

Is there something wrong with me? I am depressed and have been on Lexapro for almost 2 weeks, but I haven't really noticed any change in cognition.

Really need advise.

"Ever see a tornado assemble an airplane? Airplanes take intelligence to design and build. The universe, and our DNA is far more complex... must have required far more intelligence to make it all work as well as it does."
Why is this a common argument against evolution? Evolution is talking about thousands of years of adaptations and mutations. not some randomly thrown together product. Do people really buy into this junk that some being just threw everything together exactly how it is?

Politicians are by their very nature liars and pretenders. They craft carefully an image to the dunce masses, to cater to as much votes as possible. Every word is evaluated as to how much new votes it will get and how much old votes it can keep. Why take this clowns and power hungry hypocrytes serious?

We are a childless couple and live in a small apartment. It's a 2 bedroom apartment with an open concept living room/dining room and a small kitchen. I study from home and my husband works from home, so we've managed to cram 2 computers in our place, and a whole bunch of my husband's other stuff. Since he started working from home, he had to empty his office and all of his office stuff came home. We've already filled up our storage locker, his office (that's the second bedroom) and there's even stuff in the living room. We don't know what to do. Ideally, we feel like we definitely need to move in a house, because once we have kids, we're going to have to. But, in the meantime, what should we do? I'm thinking maybe rent a public storage space, because I think we definitely need one.

I was meditating on this saying of Jesus this morning:
"If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. If you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners in order to receive back the same amount.

But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men."
- Luke 6:32-36

And that got me to wondering - we all have people who are "enemies" - from strangers who are rude to us, or family members who hold a life-long grudge, friends that betray us etc.
Jesus says "even sinners love those who love them back" - so what does your religion or personal ethics system (if you are a non-Theist) say about how to deal with your enemies?

Yes you are.

OR, you haven't needed healthcare in a long time.

Ask anyone who practices medicine, any nurse and above all, any patient and you shall learn.

There WILL be universal healthcare in the US soon because there is no choice.
