" Insegrevious " a word coined by Gary Owens, a radio and TV personality popular in the '60's and '70's .
He was the voice of "Laugh In " and other programs and had a drive time program on radio KMPC in Los Angeles for many years.
The beauty of this word is that it can mean whatever you want it to mean.
If someone offended you you could say it was an insegrevious offense.
