i am a seventeen year old girl.. who have a male bestfriend @ my age. he was sexually abused by a man from the internet from the age of 12-15. he told me and our other bestfriend this autumn. we tried dialing helping numers (dont know the english word for it, im from europe) and we arranged a meeting with a psychologist for him. but he backed out. we have tried to make him tell what happened to him to his parents, but he refuses to do so. he cuts himself and is concidering suicide. he is also very depressed. our other bestfriend tells me we should go directly to his parents and tell them everything, but i'm not sure that's the right thing to do...? what do you guys think we should do

But I really don't understand, in all the dictionaries, I have looked up the word "Christian" and the main explanation of the word is:
A person who follows Christ, a person who believes that Christ is the son of God, that he died on the cross for our sins, and that he is the Saviour.
If this is true, why do a lot of Christians, say that Catholics are not Christians, don't Catholics believe in the 3 main points , mentioned above? And if they do, and I'm sure they do, then why do some say they aren't Christians, It doesn't seem to make sense to me.
The explanation of the word is simple and if Catholics fit the explanation then they must be Christians, right?
I have heard the argument that it's because Catholics pray to saints, but they STILL believe in the main points that classes one as a Christian. I would really appreciate if anyone could explain this to me, thanks.

so i was wondering this the other day, right most vegetarians will like themselves bring their kids up as vegetarians (im not saying all of u but im sure some of u), totally against the slaughtering of animals and i would love to hate meat myself to become one but i like it too much, anyway if u own a dog what do u feed it, do u give it the tins of canned meat or feed it some veg and potatoes. dogs need a diet that consists of meat and its important for part of their diet so do u deprieve the dog to mett your principals or go against everything u believe in. just incase anybody says u feed your pet dry food, yes im afraid traces of meat in that also. is their vegetarian dog food for dogs ....just something i was thinking about and wanted to know

I ride to work 3 times a week, it's 15 miles round trip. When I have time on the weekends, I plan on going for rides, but don't have time atm. So going with just riding 45 miles a week, the uphill grades aren't too drastic and a big chunk of the ride is flat, how long do you think it would take before I start seeing a physical difference (besides the awesome tan I've gotten).

I was at a funeral recently and the nigh before I had watched a comedian tell a joke about the way the priest says "The Lamb Of God" as soon as the priest said "The Lamb Of God" I keeled over and laughed so loud the whole church stared at me.

It was so embaressing but when you get the giggles it jsut can't be helped, I kept chuckeling for the whole service!

Have you ever been given some funny looks when you had to get onto your kids in the store..

One lady was at Brookshire's..Her little boy stole a candybar..She brought his butt back into the store..Blistered his butt...Made him apologize.. and blistered his butt some more!!!
GO MAMA!!!!!!!

Of course she might not of had anything to loose anyway, being that she might have been illegal..I'm not sayin' she was just that it was a possibility.
Mypoint is :
Why are so many of us afraid of gettin' in trouble for disciplining our kids in pulblic.?? What are they gonna do? lock us up?
Our kids will turn into a menace to society if we don't discipline them now...
