She never answers the damn thing. It's always buried deep down in her purse. When I need to talk to her, I call and then wait a half hour for her to call me back...very annoying. What should I do?

Yeah, I ask her nicely all the time to keep it close, but she leaves it in the car, in her purse, on the kitchen table, etc. the volume is all the way up too.

Well you cant do anything. Next time you call and she doesnt answer, just dont leave a message if its not important and if she calls back be like nevermind...and keep doing that until it gets really annoying and then she might start picking up her phone...lol

I do the same thing. I can't hear it either when it's in my purse. Put it on "vibe & ring" so her whole purse shakes when you call. I didn't like answering my phone while driving either, so Now I have blue tooth for when I'm in the car, and it has helped out a great deal. And of course, tell her it worries you when you can't get ahold of her, and if she would answer a little more, maybe you wouldn't call so much.

Talk to her, as what would help so in case you needed to reach her asap, you could. I have a bluetooth and a holder that clips to the side of my purse so I don't have to dig. I also have 3 chargers, 1 for the house, 1 for work and 1 in the car.

Aren't there any more important matters to deal with? Maybe you have too much time on your hands if you are looking for things to nag your wife about. Are you feeling a bit insecure? I'm sorry but my husband does the same crap. It infuriates me that he uses the phone more like a tracking device than a comminucation tool. I feel like a dog on a leash. If I don't get to the phone immediately, he has a corinary. "Why don't you ever answer your phone....blah blah blah....".I have a life, I actually do other things besides stare at the phone, waiting for him to call.
Its just very insulting

Either get her a clip for it so she can attach it to the side of her purse or get her a purse with pockets on the outside so that she can get to it easy and can hear it ringing. I had to do that because I couldn't hear it...and if I did I couldn't get to it by the time it stopped ringing. Ask her to try to keep it where she can reach it easily in case of an emergency. Let her know how important it is for you to reach her if need her.

Sounds to me like she only wants to have the cell phone for emergency purposes. You seem to be upset about the fact she doesn't answer every time you call. But is that really a big deal? Unless someone's dying, do you really need to talk to her now.

I have a cell phone because as a manager, I need to be available just about any time. But I do think the convenience of cell phones has made people forget that it's not always important to talk to someone the instant you think about talking to them.

Well first of all confront her on what she is not doing (picking up the phone) tell her that her not picking the phone up frustrates you, and that you would like it if she had the phone near to her so you can get a hold of her when you need to.. be polite though, because that will just make her made if you come screaming at her.. kill her with kindness. Good Luck

Get her a bluetooth. That way, even if the phone is buried in her purse, she can answer the phone right away. Bluetooth is better to use while driving, too.

ha ha i know a few family memebers that are the same, i say the same thing, why even bother having a phone and u wouldnt want to be in a life or death situation where u need to get in touch with them fast, i dont think there is anything u can do about that just be patient, send a text rather than trying to ring thats what i do

She could turn the volume up.
If she just keeps it in case of emergency, maybe install OnStar instead? It's for emergencies and has a cell phone feature on it.
Get rid of the phone if you don't use it. Why pay $50 a month or MORE for something you never use?
