She's 21. I've lived with my mom and stepdad most of my life, and they are really bad parents. I'm not just saying that like any other rebellious teenager would..they really are unfit. My stepdad never wanted children and my mother just wasn't ready. She isn't responsible. Our house is always a mess, she never has a job, and she lays in bed all day. My stepdad gets more and more violent everyday. He broke my mom's wrist this week. We always argue and he wants to kick me out. I have a 13 year old brother. How do I go about getting out of here and going to live with my sister? And how long do I have to wait for my brother to be old enough? My home is veryy unstable. Sometimes we go without water. We have no phone, cable, internet, etc.

I have had the scroll since day one and cannot get rid of it. I recently put in a very expensive surge protector thinking it would help and the scroll is still there. It's not a very heavy line, but it is noticible. The scroll always starts at the bottom and goes to the top. HELP!!!

I'm having such a hard time losing weight. and I'll do real good for a couple weeks but then I get sick of eating the same foods. I'm really busy and work two jobs with a young son at home. I need real ideas for snacks, dinners, etc... Can anyone help? I like the idea of eating every few hours. So if anyone could give me a typical day. Say 730am to 8pm. thanks. First thing in the morning I have a protein smoothie with a banana, strawberries, protein powder and 0 calorie orange drink, blended together. keeps me full for a few hours.

I hear the audio when the Video 2 input is selected, however I don't get ANY video, which prevents me from seeing the "Setup" menu to adjust the video input. I feel I'm in a Catch 22 with no way out. I've attempted by using an "S" video cable, and without (using the yellow banana plug).

Increasingly I feel - they don't believe, it doesn't matter.

Not one jot, not one tiny iota. They are the last vestige of a disinformation campaign which has left them behind, in much the same way as the last stragglers of McCarthy's propaganda still look for communist conspiracies and check for reds under the beds.

What matters is that the centre ground of public opinion has shifted enough, and while the world is warming up, the ever shrinking number of die hard deniers...is simply in the cold.

Is it even remotely important to expend any effort at all convincing them?

What's the deal? Do they compare each year's Key Performance Indicators with the previous years as a way of measuring their progress? I don't know any other denomination which does this, so I am interested to know what the Jehovah's Witnesses on this Answers! Forum has to say.

I've got a family meal coming up at my mother-in-laws house and I can't stand her. My sister-in-law will also be there and she's just a younger version of her bag of a mother so I've got to put up with them for about 6 hours. My husband just ignores all of the rude comments that are for my benefit from dragon and daughter of dragon so I can't rely on him for support. Do I just ignore them while they make remarks about my job, my appearance, the way my son is being brought up etc, or do I walk out?

I'm probably in DEEP trouble for asking this now but I'm going to anyway.. I'm not angry with God or anything I just need to clarify some stuff.

Regarding the Ten Commandments.. I have seen them, and they are indeed very honourable commands to live by. To live a righteous life in God's eyes you must obey the Ten Commandments.

But there is no mention of anything like raping, torturing or anything along those lines. Two commands about stealing but no command 'thou shalt not torture' or anything like that..

Let me tell you I would much rather someone STOLE something from me than TORTURED me!!

Plus.. according to the Bush admin it is now OK to torture suspects for the purposes of extracting confessions. So is torture even considered a crime by anyone now?!? If it is LEGAL, and there is no mention of it in God's commands, does this mean it is OK??

I don't have enough space to make my point fully but I am so confused.. it doesn't make any sense.. do you see what I mean??

Shouldn't we be taking advantage of still having Oil. Using it wisely. Not wasting it?


Why are we wasting a rapidly deminishing resource; crude oil, that could make preparations for life without it easier/possible?

For example: When you have flown to Barbados, and are sitting on the beach, look at your children and imagine that their children might well be working the fields by hand, just in order to feed themselves.

How do we intend to grow food without diesal oil?

What kind of landscape could we produce food in without diesal?

Whatever solution you come up with will it require diesal to set it up?

Let's not leave it too late. How do we start acting now?
