What would happen if we took the word "socialized" out and said "affordable".
I wonder would people still have a problem with health-care not just for those who can afford it.....and everyone else "too bad for you".

I just posted this question too. None of the UHC fans are answering these. I guess there's nothing they can say in its defense. This is an undefendable policy that only a fool would subscribe to.

Socialized healthcare? No. Some mix of government funded and private healthcare? Absolutely. I don't see why those who would participate wouldn't have a premium (obviously a small one) taken out of their checks. Those that don't work can be required to do some sort of community service or be disqualified (unless medically impossible). There are advantages to having a form of Socialized healthcare, but I think the best option would be to have a mix of private and government insurance.

LOL, i just had a question on this topic. we dont NEED socialized medicine at all.
i dont know how to extract my own teeth, of give myself a shot.
